WARNING******DO NOT USE THIS DEALERSHIP We tried to work with this dealership during the first year of ownership, including 4 service visits, for our new 2022 Explorer for several interior rattles, but ther with this dealership during the first year of ownership, including 4 service visits, for our new 2022 Explorer for several interior rattles, but there is 1 sunroof rattle that they never resolved to date. It reached the point that when the GM of Service, Jerry, saw us coming, he would attempt to avoid us. After the new vehicle warranty ended, we still had/have the same issue, a rattling 2022 Explorer. They knew the issue was unresolved during the warranty period and DID NOT CARE. After we responded to 1 or more of their How Did We Do follow-up emails with our story, they promised to fix any issues if we would remove our review. After agreeing to allow them this opportunity, they had our truck for another 2 weeks with no resolution, and we later found out that they had billed our extended warranty behind our back for this 5th attempt at resolving this issue. We fought the $1,200.00 that they billed for our extended warranty, and they refunded our money as they knew that someone was deceitful within their organization, and this was not our agreement. We lived up to our word, but today, our truck still has the same rattle, which is worse. We told them this, but they ignored this portion of the conversation as they only cared about getting our story/review removed. However, I am not done with this deceitful, incompetent business. I think that they think I will go away, but they don't know me and my tenacity. We paid for a new, nonrattling vehicle, and that is what we expected. BYW, the rep. Tyler has some type of hypo ego about being an ex. Police officer, and we are still unsure why he felt the need to share this information with us while checking our car in for the 3rd service attempt. Um, I wonder why he is now a Customer Service Rep.? Also, Mark appeared to have forgotten that he was customer service for us, the customer. He was the absolute worst rep. He had the personality of a toad frog. More
I am certain that for the most part 5 Star is a wonderful dealership... as long as everything goes smooth. Unfortunately, my transaction was and has been anything but smooth. First, 5 Start stated I was full dealership... as long as everything goes smooth. Unfortunately, my transaction was and has been anything but smooth. First, 5 Start stated I was fully qualified to purchase, so I went to the lot to fill out all paperwork and provide all documents as requested. Then there was a problem with the vehicle like a leaking radiator... well... OK. Then it took over a week to get one in. This is after I gave them a down payment of $2000. Then I find out they will deliver the truck in a couple days. Total from application to delivery was 15 days. Then I find out the original lender turned down the deal because I had started a new job, but credit rating was fine. Resigned all paperwork. Well, 5 Star in all their brilliance, filed the original lender as a lien holder... massive MESS!! Sales manager, Brian Huth was contacted numerous times only to be forwarded to finance (who created the mess and the sales person who knew nothing about what was going on... so he says. ) Interest rate was given to close deal was quite high.. but I really wanted the truck so I went through with it. I then contacted different lenders other than those referred by 5 Star and received an approval for numerous points below the quoted interest rate by 5 Star Ford. Now 6 Weeks later after the new approval, I now find out that 5 Star filed the lien with a different company other than that in the funding package and I cannot pay off the loan with the new lender until 5 Star gets the title back that they mis filled and then get it refiled with their approved lender so then I can get the loan paid off through the new lender at a much lower interest rate. Don't call sales manager for help... won't return calls or do anything to solve your problem but refer to others who don't get anything solved. Don't trust finance referrals... get your own financing before you go to the dealer.. they will mark up the interest rate numerous percentage points above where you should be so they make a higher profit. Maybe this will get worked out... however. after contacting the title department, and others, and even sending an email to the General Sales manager with no response.. after 4 months... it still is not all resolved. I keep getting promises from 5 Star but... nothing ever seems to be in any effort to resolve the issues. So, far we are 4 months since purchasing and counting!! I give this a 2 Star in rating only because they had the vehicle, I wanted and it is in wonderful condition... though the services level at this point should be about minus 4! Caveat emptor!! Let the buyer beware!!! More
