i first began with FITZGERALD about 1985 .i brought my oldsmobile to them with a difficult engine problem that occurred after i took my car to a non dealer service establishment . they did not know me and oldsmobile to them with a difficult engine problem that occurred after i took my car to a non dealer service establishment . they did not know me and didn't do the initial work , however went out of their way to diagnose and prove that the problem was caused by the work that this other facility had done .In addition this work was done at no charge as i returned to the other place and had them correct the problem .i have been a loyal customer ever since and a Toyota customer since 1990 . Customer service- they know who i am when i arrive ,they go over and above as a rule , if i could give them a six i would . Quality of work - they get it right the first time almost every time .if there is an issue the make every effort to make it right asap. Friendliness- the whole team is on board with friendliness , i feel important when i do business at lakeforest toyota . overall experience- excellent - they go out of their way so often that i have lost count .when there is an issue i am always treated fairly . Price - they are always competitive , sometimes lowest , but always fair , and add in the loaner car and the value can't be beat . More

Imagine my surprise to be handed a huge laundry list of things that supposedly needed doing, including a $2200 "de-sludge" procedure to rid my engine of buildup. I called a mechanic friend, who said the knocking problem could well be more serious, and might even require a complete engine re-build, at around $4500. Thus, he said DO NOT pay them $2200 only to turn around and pay them another $4500. Days later, just on a fluke, I discovered that the sludge problem is the subject of a class-action settlement by Toyota, and I was entitled to a FREE rebuild by the Service Shop. Do you think Fitzgeraled was going to tell me that??? Ever??? Needless to say, when I called back and mentioned the lawsuit, they changed their tune and agreed to cover the work. But not without recommending another $1100 in "other work." No way. Rip-off artists extraordinare... More
I own a 1993 Toyota Camry and went in for an oil change with a 30 min wait time. After 2hrs passed, I received a long list of recommended repairs of which most had been done in the last 6 months. There we with a 30 min wait time. After 2hrs passed, I received a long list of recommended repairs of which most had been done in the last 6 months. There were other customers who arrived after I did and left before me and I noticed their vehicles were much newer. It was totally obvious to me that the technician was looking to do much more than an oil change. What a rip off! More
Paid $30 at service station to determine O2 sensor was bad. Paid Fitzgerald $42 to verify same. Fitzgerald couldn't remove sensor (said it was "siezed"), wanted additional $500 to replace exhause manifo bad. Paid Fitzgerald $42 to verify same. Fitzgerald couldn't remove sensor (said it was "siezed"), wanted additional $500 to replace exhause manifold. stopped work, took Toyota back to service station, removed sensor without a problem, put in genuine Toyota part. Either mechanics at this dealership are incapable of basic repairs, or they routinely rip off customers. More
