I visited Fitzgerald Subaru in March of 2021 to test drive their offerings. I was treated very well by my sales reps Michael Dejesus and Shania Leguen. They both did an awesome job. AS a first time car drive their offerings. I was treated very well by my sales reps Michael Dejesus and Shania Leguen. They both did an awesome job. AS a first time car buyer I had some anxiety based on how I have heard most dealerships operate, but this was painless. I chose a new Subaru Forester and am very happy with my purchase. The purchasing went very smooth due to the professionalism of Eric Abramson. Overall a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend this dealership for anyone looking to make explore a new or used vehicle. More
We are in the market for a new SUV for a young family (due in 3 months with our first baby). Fitzgerald had the vehicle we wanted. Two others declined to purchase the vehicle and we were up for the pur (due in 3 months with our first baby). Fitzgerald had the vehicle we wanted. Two others declined to purchase the vehicle and we were up for the purchase. We completed the finance process and were quickly credit approved (virtually - pandemic and pregnant women in a dealership was not recommended by the doctor). After our personal credit was ran and approved, we never heard anything! We called, and called and called. Two days later no answer. Finally I connected with a big wig from the manufacturer and received a quick response from them, not the dealer, why we weren’t sold the vehicle. Funke (saleswoman) lacked the simple follow up. Jenna Keller (sales manager) was flippant and careless. We gave her our paperwork and social security number to Jenna Keller and never received a call back with any update. We left multiple messages and emails for general sales manager Felipe Teixeira, as well as multiple messages for Scott Ascher - including text messages (another sale manager who failed to call us back). It’s incidents like this that warrant the traditional dealership model be wrecked by new entrants into the marketplace like Tesla - who doesn’t have any authorized dealers, just corporate stores. Imagine be told you are going to be sold a specific car, give your financial and personal information and never hear back after being credit approved. What an awful experience that could have been remedied by one call from anyone with any sibilance of leadership skills or business acumen. Thankfully the manufacturer’s corp team picked up the phone to give a status update so we could move on. I would never do business with Fitzgerald, as this appears to be a systemic problem that could have been solved by any one person at the dealership. Jenna Keller, Felipe Teixeira and Scott Ascher failed us and provided a horrid experience. Frankly, I don’t even have a beef with the saleswoman, Funke, as she is required to report to this type of leadership team. More
Buying process was painless and enjoyable. I felt like I was offered all options and was not pressured into any of the options other than what made me happy. was offered all options and was not pressured into any of the options other than what made me happy. More
We had a great experience buying our new Subaru. Muna was wonderful! She carefully went over all of our options and made sure we got exactly what we wanted- no more, no less. Tow Hitch Installation went wrong I bought a Limited XT Outback from this dealership on July 3rd, 2020 (10 days ago) and took my new car on July 13th, 2020 for a tow hitch installation I bought a Limited XT Outback from this dealership on July 3rd, 2020 (10 days ago) and took my new car on July 13th, 2020 for a tow hitch installation. To my surprise, when I came back to get my car, it had the following damages and / or issues: 1. Rear bumper scratches all over the place. Specially in the corners. It was clearly left on the floor without any protection. 2. The Rear bumper under guard cut, was completely miscalculated leaving it not aligned, meaning that the left side is longer that the right one. 3. The hood had three scratches which were not there before. 4. All the doors, especially around the handles were greasy. Fingerprints and even the hands of service technicians were clearly visible. 5. All my personal belonging were thrown in the back seat without any care. I even found a box on top of the rear elbow rest, which the technician did not even had the courtesy to close before placing my items on the rear. 6. My old tags and metal plates were also thrown on top of the rear leather seats without any care. This could have damaged the leather seats. As you may understand, I was surprised and unable to accept the poor job performed on my brand new $40K car. This was my first ever experience with Subaru Gaithersburg Service and it will probably be the last. Besides all this, I would like to mention that I paid almost a thousand dollars for this poor and careless job! I do not have any more confidence in the person/dealership who performed the work, especially in such a delicate job as installing a tow hitch. More
Edward Bockarie was great to work with. His experience shows as he clearly explains the process. His knowledge of the product shows when he demonstrates the features of the car. I originally met Kenny Kamdoum and he was very patient, friendly and gave space for me to soak in the information. I recently had returned to the dealership and worked with Evan Fabrish, and again, wasn't disappointed by their friendly, informative and non pushy personality. It was a pleasure working with both and highly recommend them for their professionalism and trust. More

New purchase - certified used Subaru The sales people, Monica and Bic were very knowledgeable and helpful to get me into an upgraded Outback. They worked with me to get the right vehicle The sales people, Monica and Bic were very knowledgeable and helpful to get me into an upgraded Outback. They worked with me to get the right vehicle that fit my needs. Stu, the finance guy, also very helpful to get me where I needed to be. Thank you all! The other feed back I have is the length of time it takes to buy a car. I have never gone through a car buying experience under 4-5 hours. I would really like to see that improve especially when I (or any customer) have a very high credit score. I do not understand the process but believe there should be a better way. Thank you, Sally Vogel More
Stay Away! Shady Business Practices There's a reason why people hate car shopping...this dealership IS that reason. I was shopping online for a new vehicle and came across a Volvo S40 at Fitzgerald Subaru of Gaithersburg. It had a stock photo but the description, along with the CarFax, made me want to reach out and set up an appointment to see/test drive it. I reached out this morning (6/10/2019) before the dealership opened up and immediately received an email back from Felipe Teixeira--Felipe did a fantastic job with quickly responding back. He asked me what the preferred method of contact was and I said to have the salesperson reach me via email. Tony Gonzalez followed up at 9:15 am asking me what time I could meet with him. I advised that I could come between 2 and 2:30. He responded to my email saying he'd check the car and then we can make an appointment. At lunchtime I was able to check my voicemails, to which I received two from him--one from early in the morning and the other later in the morning, stating to call him back (nothing more). I then received an email at 12:00 with an appointment confirmation. I confirmed the appointment thinking everything was good to go. I leave work early in order to avoid the evening rush hour as I live an hour away from the dealership. I get there and Tony begins to tell me that of the two vehicles inquired about one is not available. I told him that I only inquired about one. He then tried to explain to me that he attempted to call me to tell me the condition of the car that I inquired about. Apparently it just arrived and they were waiting on Maryland inspection for the vehicle. I told him that he should have told me that and his response was "I tried to call you and left two voicemails." I told him that I advised Felipe that my main method of contact was email not phone calls. I told him he should have told me the situation over email. He then goes to get a manager who proceeds to tell me that the vehicle arrived a few days ago but that its sitting in the body shop because there is a hole in the bumper. I told the manager that Tony should have told me this via email as he and I went back and forth a few times all morning over email. All he could say was that the car would be ready in 1 to 2 weeks and that he "did what he could." Really?!?! You did what you could? Tony just wanted to get me in to the dealership. He knew what he was doing by getting me into the dealership because the very first sentence out of his mouth was that I inquired about two cars. In his mind he already went over a contingency plan rather than letting me know upfront what the situation was. I HIGHLY recommend staying away from this dealership and their shady practices--ESPECIALLY Tony Gonzalez! More
