Warranty is USELESS. It means NOTHING and KIA doesn't care! I bought my 2012 Kia Sorrento in September 2013. In the beginning, my KIA was everything I wanted in a vehicle. However in June, my engine made a strange sound, and I thought "how odd, I need to get that checked out." I made an appointment immediately at Fisher KIA in Boulder because they had high ratings. I figured if something is wrong, big or small, what better place than KIA dealers to handle it. On the way (within 1 day of the noise starting and making the appointment) my boyfriend was taking it to Fisher for me and the engine started making a loud noise, then seized. He broke down on the side of the road, so called roadside assistance to have it brought in the rest of the way. After the service department evaluated my vehicle, many phone calls and conversations later, they determined that there was sludge on the oil cap. I was asked to provide receipts for maintenance oil changes. In 25 years of owning vehicles I've never kept these receipts handy, but I did find a few and turned them in. I spoke with Mike Rodes, who is a very pleasant man personally. He told me basically that there was oil on the oil cap, and I should have had multiple changes at this point on my vehicle. It had 48000 miles on approximately! I was asked for MORE receipts, and I asked what happens if I can't find them? I travel a LOT for my job, and I have service on my car wherever I am, that includes other states. He said KIA won't honor the warranty without it. Then I was told that if I provided these receipts, they would need my permission to tear down the engine to the oil pan, to check for sludge in the pan. Now in my educated mind, it makes sense to me that if there's sludge on the cap, there's sludge in the pan. THEN I was told they needed my permission to do this, and in addition to doing that it would cost me $800 to just look. And if they found sludge in the engine, they still wouldn't cover the warranty. I said absolutely not. So then I was told basically that this was not KIA's fault, and the wonderful 100,000 mile warranty would NOT be honored. I got the contact number for KIA consumer affairs and notified them of this situation. They took 2 weeks to call me back, and then basically said "sorry about your luck. its not our fault." Fisher KIA was so kind to offer me "a deal" to replace my engine that had 48000 miles on it with an engine that had 78000 miles on it for the low price of $8800! That was "the best he could do." Who has that? in the meantime, I'm a single parent, I have 3 children of which 1 has a disability (He's autistic). I bought this vehicle because it was large enough to accommodate my children. Due to his sensory issues its very important that he have his own space in the vehicle. My other 2 children also deserve a reasonable car for transportation due to his issues as well. During this whole fiasco we were dealing with some major issues regarding his autism, and I couldn't focus completely on my car due to taking care of him. In the meantime, I've been calling and asking KIA for help, of which no one has offered any alternatives for me. KIA dropped the ball! I loved my vehicle and have been NOTHING but a huge proponent for KIA since I bought it. I work with the general public as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room. Due to this, I take every opportunity to let people know my experience. KIA has left me hanging, basically telling me my relatively new car motor problems are all my fault but they'll be happy to fix it for half of what I paid for the car. Why would I do that? Now I'm making payments on a vehicle that I can't drive. How reasonable is that? I have 3 children, I'm a single mother, and NO ONE at KIA will take me seriously regarding helping me get through this situation. Fisher KIA offered me no alternatives as well, all they said is they could fix it for almost 10K and that was the best they could do. I also have to tell you, its VERY difficult to get a child with autism used to changes. He looks at my car every day asking why we can't use it. What do you say to that? If I had that type of reserve I would have gotten it repaired, but also have not been receiving child support in 7 months. So ALL my reserve now goes to my child with needs. In today's society we are supposed to be helping people. I devote my entire life to helping people, and teaching my children right from wrong. I can't believe that KIA and Fisher are ok with just doing nothing regarding this vehicle. If they couldn't fix it under the warranty, they could have at least offered me some other solutions to try and repair my vehicle. But why does KIA offer a warranty they have no plans in honoring? But nobody has offered anything or tired to do anything to assist me with this. To add insult to injury? Now I get a monthly recorded call telling my KIA needs to come in for maintenance. REALLY? I can't do anything with my vehicle. I really thought there would be more humane treatment than this in this economy. Please be advised that I also contacted 9NEWS and let them know about the situation. I will never buy another KIA again. There's no real reason to. More

It had to be ordered and shipped from the factory being a new model for 2016. Phil was a pleasure to work with through the entire (months long) process. He made sure we got all the features we wanted without any pressure to add-on anything we didn't want/need. And the finance department was also helpful when my bank messed up some paperwork. More
Lovely experience, take your business to Fisher! My husband and I purchased a 2016 Honda CRV from Fisher Honda last week; it was absolutely the very best dealer experience we have ever had! The atmos My husband and I purchased a 2016 Honda CRV from Fisher Honda last week; it was absolutely the very best dealer experience we have ever had! The atmosphere in the showroom was calm & soothing (must say I was not a big fan of the music, but I'm old), low pressure, and pleasant overall. Our 14 year-old Toyota was totaled, so we had to wait a few weeks to get our money from the insurance company and a retirement account, which made it take a bit longer than we all would have liked, but I did extensive research online and requested information about both used and new CRVs from our sales rep. Roman Ramsey. Roman was very patient and answered all of the questions I asked politely and thoroughly, without pestering us by phoning repeatedly. He even let me know of a price drop on one of the vehicles we were interested in. My preferred communication is through email, so I don't have to remember exactly what was said. Another dealership I consulted called many times and it got to be annoying. The other dealer was also reluctant to give me a simple, drive-it-off-the-lot price. I never felt like I was getting all of the information and had to scribble furiously while the sales rep rattled off information over the phone. We felt like we got a decent price, though perhaps not the lowest in town, from Fisher. It was worth whatever the few dollars' difference was to work with such a great sales rep & dealer, to not get any shifty, last-minute pressure to add extras or questionable financing offers. All of the add-ons available were presented nonchalantly in a nice binder with color photos. Note to dealer: it would have been nice to know the retail price of all of the add-on items while choosing which ones we wanted, rather than asking for each price. Extras that many dealers push hard to get you to take with financing were again offered, but not pushed on us. More

Just one "hitch" in the overall experience. The day after I purchased the car, I noticed that I was overcharged by abut $1,000. I called Phil and he very quickly acknowledged the mistake and corrected it immediately. He even drove to my house (50 miles each way) to personally hand me a check and get the paperwork corrected. I appreciate his cooperation very much, and his apology for the error. I'm not sure how other dealerships would have handled the same situation - especially after the paperwork had been signed. We all make mistakes, but it is how we deal with our mistakes that is important. I think that says a lot for both Phil Robinson and for Fisher Honda! Thank you!!! More
