First Texas Honda strives to ensure quality and safety in every vehicle offered for sale. It is unfortunate that this particular vehicle was delivered with an open recall. A complimentary Carfax report was offered to the guest prior to the completion of the transaction. This report offers a detailed history of the vehicle including accident history, ownership history, and any open recalls. We were able to reach the guest by phone to offer a sincere apology. A second phone call was made that day to offer assistance in getting the Jeep to a Jeep dealer. That phone call was never returned. First Texas Honda is increasing efforts to ensure vehicles offered for sale have all open recalls cleared with their specific manufacturer. If in the event a vehicle is being sold prior to us having the opportunity to repair an open recall, clear and precise disclosures will be provided.
