Please know that since your visit, we've pulled your advisor from the front lines and he has returned to training to relearn protocol and ensure that little mistakes like this one can be avoided in the future. Unfortunately, unlike retail, because of the amount of training that goes into the technician and advisor positions, we cannot simply hire seasonally. We did bring in support staff from other locations to act as assistances to our advisors, allowing them more time to spend with customers while we are short handed. We're sorry to say that there indeed was a miscommunication about the vehicle being out of state. In the state of Texas when a vehicle is returned from a lease, there are no property taxes due on it. However, this is truly a concern to raise to Honda Financial as every state has different tax laws depending on where your 2014 leased vehicle was returned. Please know that this was not our intention to mislead you in any way. We're sorry to know that a great experience has turned sour. We'll be reviewing these concerns with our staff to ensure that confusion like this can be avoided in the future.
