I had my car serviced last week, and the experience at the dealership was incredibly smooth. My service advisor, Steven Deckert, was amazing. He was very calm and listened to all of my concerns. He worked in conjunction with the service technician and relayed information back to me in a much easier way for me to understand. He also followed up daily on the status of my repair. The best part was having access to a free rental car during the time of my service. Additionally, the service waiting area was clean and pleasant to work in for a few hours, and they even offered free barista service. Kudos to my service advisor and the whole dealership for a wonderful experience. More
Aaron Hernandez helped point out the issues found during the complimentary maintenance check of my 2015 CR-V and explained what these issues were. Exceptional experience, the best I've ever had honestly (I'm 48 y/o and have had my own vehicle/service since I was 22). Their facility and check-in process was the best. You drive up, get checked in immediately (like most oil change places) with a guy on his iPad. Then you drive up and another guy is checking your appointment, making sure they have everything accurate, checking your mileage, etc. Then, if waiting, you go inside and there's a huge waiting area with their own FREE Starbucks-life coffee bar and snacks - all free!! Wifi is FREE. Literally, best waiting experience I've had. Could continue working without an interruptions. When your vehicle has been inspected, they send you a text with a breakdown of recommendation in addition to why you brought it in. Also they include a video of their visual inspection...as they're inspecting, they literally video it and send you the link to view it with their commentary (so cool!). Then they come in and check to see if you want to add any of the recommended/required services (based on mileage, manufacturer's recommendations, etc). They don't try to sell you anything you DON'T need and will literally show evidence of what they're recommending, and what they're not. I had a question about my tires and brakes, as I have an upcoming road trip. They could've easily tried to sell me new tires and brakes, but they informed me they were in great shape, and showed me to alleviate any concerns. They were polite, respectful, funny, engaging, etc. Seriously, couldn't have asked for better. Yes, it took about 2 hours - but well worth the wait. Barely even noticed as everything I needed was right there, so my attention was focused on my laptop/work and not frustration of waiting. :) Not to mention, they literally go over everything with a fine tooth comb. More

First Texas Honda - I was able to make an appointment online for the next day when I started having battery issues. We discussed the basic services which were needed, and he advised me of four additional services I needed at this time. Due to being on a fixed retirement income, I decided (with Chad's help) on two of the services and two that could wait until my next visit. He did explain to me what to expect delaying the two additional services which I greatly appreciated. At no time did anyone pressure me. Fortunately, I saw a new tire guy and my tires were all still in the green. On my second visit at 1st TX Honda the guy checking my tires (same tires) told me that I needed two new tires which had already been replaced in the past year, service advisor, Kevin Fox (no longer with 1st Honda) saved me on this one. He said I did not need service at this time (I was not billed for this visit), and that I should wait until it shows on my car and come back which was another 10 days (and Kevin was gone). I returned April 1st, and my tires were still in the green. However, I did have my tires checked elsewhere before I returned and was prepared to say no to new tires. I contemplated not returning to First Honda because the person checking tires during my first three visits just wanted to make a sale (I did buy two tires on my first visit; not sure they were needed though). Being new to Austin I did not know who to use and decided to give First TX Honda another visit. I am very happy I did because customer service was excellent. Reann Villanueva, technician, provided a video of the inspection (walk around video) that I was able to forward to my husband to view. I love this additional service. When I checked out Chad was with another customer, so I checked out with Evan Donnellan, and he too was amazing. The customer service and care were over the top and I am so glad I decided to give First TX Honda another chance. You guys are the best and I will be back.
