I’ve owned two Hondas, both of which I’ve had exclusively serviced at First Texas Honda. It’s a no-frills, no fuss dealership, which I appreciate. My appointment was at 11:00 I arrived about 10 minutes early. Was greeted by triage and told my Advisor would be with me shortly. I waited for my vehicle at 1:30 minutes he located me to advise my car was ready he would come to get me when he had my keys. 5 minutes later he walked me to his desk I paid for my service, he pulled my car around and I was on my way. Also, as I’ve always said before, I live just off the exit where RR Honda is located - YET take my cars to First Texas Honda. There’s only one reason for that - the service is excellent - the service personnel even better! I would also like to commend Zach Rivkin on his professionalism during my most recent visit - esp given the frustrating nature of the issues that my 2017 Pilot encountered. More
This is in regards to First Texas Honda's service department. I'm not looking for anything from the company, but I want to share my experience for the benefit of other consumers. Side note- I had to pick a technician name to post this review, but the service manager handling my BBB complaint doesn't appear in the list. I don't fault the technician for my negative experience. I took my car in for routine maintenance. During the service, my seat button cover went missing. I took my car in to replace the seat button cover. I was then told my battery was completely drained, which the technician admitted was possibly because the car was sitting in their shop for several days. The shop discounted the battery by 20% to make up for that, and the seat button issue. During that service, my radar was broken. Management demanded another opportunity to work on the vehicle. To them, flexibility was offering to come to me instead of making me drive back to the dealership. I requested partial refund of $200. I was hoping to settle at $100- about 10% of what I paid in total for the botched services. They completely ignored me. I can't say whether my experience is representative of this brand. I just know that I will avoid their dealerships and service centers, because they had my car twice, and twice created more problems- that's enough for me to get a sense of how they operate. More
