He definitely took the time to see what i really wanted and made sure i was happy with what car i picked out. It was nice to see a newer model from my previous lease with newer gadgets and new apple car play. It took me a while to get used to how things worked in the car, but Avery was very helpful with every question i had and made sure i was happy with everything and didn't leave the lot until i was fully satisfied. I would definitely rank him 1 of the best sales men there! More

A nightmare that is still not ended August 18, 2016 Dear Sir/Madam; On Sunday, July 31, 2016, I went to First Hyundai in North Attleboro, MA, with the intention of purchasing a new Vel August 18, 2016 Dear Sir/Madam; On Sunday, July 31, 2016, I went to First Hyundai in North Attleboro, MA, with the intention of purchasing a new Veloster. I chose this dealership due to the fact that they had the car, color and options on this particular Veloster that I wanted. This in itself took over 5 hours to work out the details of the deal. I was promised that the vehicle would be ready for delivery (registered, prepped and cleaned) on Thursday, August 4th, all I had to do was bring my plates and new insurance card with me when I took possession of the vehicle. My vacation started on the following Thursday, I live in Ellington, CT and the drive up to North Attleboro, MA is an hour and a half ride one way, we (my girlfriend and I) were attempting to pick up the car on our way to Charlestown, RI to start our vacation. We arrived at First Hyundai at approximately 2:30 PM to find out that my car was not ready for me to drive off the lot. It had NOT been registered and I was given different excuses as to why this had not happened. I was once again promised that it would be registered on Friday and would be ready for pick up on Saturday, August 6th. On Saturday, August 6th, my girlfriend and I drove from Charlestown, RI to the dealership. When we arrived at the dealership the car was still NOT registered it was at this time that I blew up at the sales manager and basically told him to cancel the sale. He proceeded to give me a number of excuses as to why this could not be done but asked what they could do to fix the issues and continue with the delivery of the vehicle. After discussing the options with my girlfriend we felt that if the dealership would offer me throw in the spare tire package I would still buy the car. This was agreed upon with the sales manager on duty that day. He proceeded to tell me that the parts department would have to order the spare tire package since it was not in stock. I was to pick up the spare tire package on Tuesday when I came to get the car. I already had insurance on the vehicle so I was offered dealer plates in order for me to take possession of the vehicle that day. The dealer plates were put on the car and as I was attempting to leave the dealership I looked at the gas gauge that was sitting on empty. I went back into the dealership and the sales person went with me to the local gas station so that my car could be fueled. DMV in Connecticut is closed on Mondays so I was told the runner would go to DMV first thing on Tuesday, August 8th, in order for the vehicle to be registered correctly and I would be able to bring the dealer plates back and put my plates on my car. As Tuesday afternoon once again we took the ride from Charlestown, RI where we were vacationing to First Hyundai in North Attleboro, MA. I gave my plates to someone so that they could be put on the car. A few minutes later the same person went outside and took those plates off & put brand new plates on my car. When I questioned why I was receiving new plates I was told that Connecticut DMV does not allow transferring of plates to a new vehicle. When I did return my plates to DMV on Wednesday, I was told the plates could have been transferred but the dealership must not have asked for that to happen and that was why I was given brand new plates. One of the other reasons that I did choose this particular dealership is the ability to receive free oil changes for the lifetime of the car which was only offered by First Hyundai. I will probably bring my car there for its first service but after that I plan on bringing it to a dealer closer to home. At this point my girlfriend and I are pass the point of being disgusted and angry at the way this entire fiasco has played out. We have wasted countless hours (more than 15) out of our vacation and over 2 tanks of gas in order to take possession of my car that was originally promised to me for delivery on Thursday, August 4, 2016. The promises that were made to us numerous times obviously meant nothing to this dealership and this is why I would not recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase a new vehicle. Here it is Thursday, August 18th and I am still waiting to hear back from either the sales person or the sales manager concerning the spare tire package that was promised to me on Saturday, August 6th which I still have NOT received. No one has called, texted or emailed me the progress on obtaining what was promised to me by this dealership. I would hope that someone would look into this situation and reach out to me with a solution to this problem that should not have escalated to this point at all. Robert Pantanella More

Good at first, horrible soon after My wife and were in the market for a newer car to replace my aging one. I had been looking at various makes and models and decided that a Hyundai S My wife and were in the market for a newer car to replace my aging one. I had been looking at various makes and models and decided that a Hyundai Sonata was going to be my best bet. We are from the Albany, NY area and I quickly found that the selection here was not very good. I expanded my search quite a bit and found this dealership to have quite a selection of used Sonata’s within the parameters that I was searching for and most of the cars were CPO. I began to correspond with Deb Casse by email on their selection. She was very helpful at this time and accomodating to my numerous inquiries. I eventually decided to make a 2.5 hour trip to their dealer to look at cars and possibly make a purchase. Mind you, I anticipated this would be a lengthy process so my wife and I actually drove to the area the night before so we could be at the dealer first thing. Upon entering the dealership I was briefly introduced to Deb and was told that Mark would be helping me. He would get a briefing on what I was interested in and we would proceed in just a few minutes. Mark was very pleasant to work with. He understood we had traveled far and would potentially be looking at many cars. He was proud to tell us that this dealer was the area’s #1 CPO dealer and took great pride in selling CPO vehicles. We looked at many cars and eventually found a CPO car that was within our price range and had features we wanted. Our trade-in ended up being a bit low but I didn’t fret too much as I felt the overall transaction was still good and we decided to purchase this particular car. Our experience was pleasant to this point. However, after this point the sale started to turn for the worse. The person at the finance department was very pushy and was rushing us along. Yes it was near/past closing time but it is not my problem whether or not you have to stay to complete a $20k+ sale. We were offered a slew of extra warranties which we had little time to review and ask questions. Any questions asked would be averted and instead she would ask whether or not we wanted the warranties. We ended up getting some of them as we felt they would be worth it, but we really could have done without the typical car salesman tactics from the finance person. A few days later, we came to find that the dealership had made over 8 separate credit inquires to find financing. We were never asked about the inquiries so it seems that this over zealous finance person took it upon herself to go crazy with the inquiries and negatively impact our credit reports/scores. We now have to deal with each bank to have these inquiries removed due to a staff member’s irresponsible practices. However, the irresponsible nature of the dealer does not stop here. Upon returning home I noticed that all 4 tires had varying damage to the sidewalls. 3 of the 4 tires had damage that appeared to be from some sharp object like a pick and the 4th tire seemed to have had a long slice of the tire material near the bead cut off. There was no damage to the wheels so it seemed odd. But since this was supposed to be a CPO car I assumed that the dealer would have properly inspected the tire and would have properly addressed any issues. I was very mistaken about this. On my way to NJ to visit family I found one of my tires to have lost over 10 PSI and only knew because of the TPMS. I quickly pulled into a rest stop and refilled my tires. After arriving at my destination and leaving the car overnight I came back to the car only to find the same tire that was low on pressure was not completely flat. I filled the tire up with air and quickly visited my local tire shop. Upon their evaluation they found that the tire had been repaired improperly with a patch to the sidewall and I was fortunate the tire just leaked and had not completely blown out. I had the tire shop inspect the other 3 tires to ensure that I was safe to drive home and found they were OK for the time being. With no other choice I had the tire shop change out the bad tire so I could make it back home. I immediately called the dealer and spoke with Anthony about what had happened. He seemed surprised that my car was sold in the state that I described to him and told me he would discuss with the service manager Eddy Pereirra about this and what happened during the inspection. After numerous phone calls and emails over a 5 day period Eddy had to sheepishly tell me that Anthony would not do anything for me. I find this outrageous that a dealer would sell a car with damaged tires and say they won’t do anything despite the immense safety issue it poses to sell a car with tires in this state. One thing to note is that on the checklist for CPO vehicles there is a checkpoint that states, "Tire pressure correct on all four tires/no road hazard damage" which in my mind means that they are checking that the integrity of the tire is acceptable. Side wall damage is never acceptable. I realize that perhaps I should have been more aggressive in this matter sooner, but I was assuming, incorrectly, that this dealer did their job properly. Also, this dealer has taken over 3 weeks to send me my registration for my new vehicle. NY state law requires all vehicles to be inspected within 1 week after sale. I am still driving my car illegally as I have no registration hence no inspection sticker. I hope you all stay clear of this dealer as they have no intention of making good on anything. I will be following up with Hyundai NA as well as all local and state agencies and if necessary taking them to small claims court and filing charges against this dealer and members of their staff.
