Just bought my second Hyundai from Derek. I have never been treated better by a car dealer. Derek is friendly, professional and straightforward. Greg, the General Sales Manager, is dynamic and a real plea been treated better by a car dealer. Derek is friendly, professional and straightforward. Greg, the General Sales Manager, is dynamic and a real pleasure as well. Nothing was hidden, they cared about understanding my needs and once again gave me "an offer I couldn't refuse." They have always treated me with the utmost respect. The owner, Joe, is very friendly as well. Not only that, but the service and parts departments at First Hyundai are great too. I actually enjoy being at the dealership, but the reliability of the cars means that I'm not there that often! I often recommend First to anyone I know or meet who needs a car and will definitely be buying from them in the future. Do yourself a favor, go there. More
Relaxed sales. When they say they are going to earn your business, they'll do it. I didn't have to get physical with anyone. (I usually do when buying a new car!) business, they'll do it. I didn't have to get physical with anyone. (I usually do when buying a new car!) More
I came very close to purchasing a pre-owned 2009 Hyundai Elantra from this dealership. My experience started out great, but turned bad when it came time to do actual paperwork. I had test drove a 2010 car o Elantra from this dealership. My experience started out great, but turned bad when it came time to do actual paperwork. I had test drove a 2010 car on a Wednesday night and also looked at a 2009, but could not drive it because the windshield was getting replaced the next day. On Thursday I talked to the salesman on the phone and decided to pass on the 2010 car but would be interested in the 2009 at the price he is telling me. I asked him why it was so low and he said, and I quote “that is the price we are discounting it to for you”. Based on that I went back to the dealership on Friday and test drove the 2009 car. The windshield had not been sealed properly and made an obnoxious wind noise starting around 30 mph and got increasingly louder at higher speeds. At first the salesman told me he did not hear it, but relented because really, there was no denying the noise. I said I was willing to purchase the car pending the repair of the windshield. The finance manager had the service manager take the car out for a test drive and he did agree with me that it needed to be fixed. When we sat down to do some paperwork and take my deposit on the car I was presented with a sales price increase of $300 from what we discussed. I asked the salesman what was up with that and his initial response was that he thought the price was what he quoted me on the phone, but the sales price is actually what they told me on Wednesday when I first looked at the car. He never admitted to making a mistake, if in fact he honestly did, but implied the issue was a misunderstanding on my part. And, not only was the price now $300 higher but there was an additional $199 aftermarket charge for a $35 window etching that I had not asked for. Overall the base cost increased by $499, and we had not even gotten to dealer fees yet, which, by the way, I was told I did not have an understanding of the necessary charges. Also, unlike the other dealerships I had visited, First Hyundai would not guarantee me a bottom-line trade-in value for my car, although I had received an offer from them on AutoTrader marketplace, sight unseen. So, when the final paperwork was done there was a possibility I could have been presented with even higher numbers. Despite the ambiguity and increase I decided to proceed with the transaction because I liked the car, even at the higher cost it was an “okay” price and I was currently driving a rental and was growing tired of looking at vehicles at that point. I asked for a new battery for the car which I thought was a reasonable request after they got me to come back under what were basically false pretenses. The battery that I wanted replaced was 4 years old and it was December. We were about to get into the very cold season here in New England. I was told no on the new battery. We went back and forth on this for almost 10 minutes. The salesman kept leaving me to talk to his finance manager. When he became absolutely adamant that they would not give me a new battery for the reason that they “could not” replace a battery that was still holding a charge, that was the final straw and I walked out and never returned. Frankly I could not believe these folks would lose a sale over a battery that probably cost them less than $40, but yes, they were that greedy. I certainly have to wonder if the owner of the company is aware of his finance manager pennywise, pound foolish approach and in the long run, how many dollars are lost because of it. I can only be grateful to them for behaving as they did because I found a much better car, at a much better price elsewhere at a great no-nonsense, no bullsh**Hyundai dealership. First Hyundai is not recommended. There are better dealerships within a 50 mile radius of this place. More
I was treated like family and everyone was friendly and helpful. The general manager Greg checked on me during the whole process. I will definitely purchase my next vehicle at this location. I couldn't be happier with my experience at First Hyundai, North Attleboro, MA. We set out to look at cars on Sunday, with no intention of purchasing until after Christmas. I had narrowed down my ch Hyundai, North Attleboro, MA. We set out to look at cars on Sunday, with no intention of purchasing until after Christmas. I had narrowed down my choices to a Hyundai Santa Fe (I have owned a Santa Fe since 2004, and it is the only car that I have ever NOT broken down in etc, etc.) My other choice was to look at a Toyota Rav 4, but after visiting a dealership in close proximity, we were dealing with a rather new and young salesman, and his sales manager, but the car we drove didn't end up being the right one, and all features were not set up to operate yet ie not the right car for a test drive. Once my husband told him we were definitely buying a car, but not that day...that was the end...the sales manager didn't even try to gather any info to see or was willing to throw any numbers at us. Next we went on to First Hyundai. Bob Matay met us at the door, then we were in the 2013 Santa Fe, base model which comes with heated seats and other features you would not find in the base model of my other choice. My husband explains again, we will buy a car, and it is up to me, but not today. Bob, not pushy at all, says let's see what our present cars value is for trade. I had already run some numbers from the Kelly Blue book, and really wasn't happy with this amount, but we we were not saying much, other than we did like the car, but not today. Long story short, Bob Matay working with Greg Howle, GSM comes back with a bottom line dollar amount---after the trade---(not sure if the price was dropped once or twice)---says you're going to faint....if we bought that exact Santa Fe we just drove....well, I thought my husband would faint! Now, ultimately it was my decision, as we don't trade every few years, I really wanted the car in silver...and he said if he could locate the same car in silver could we make a deal. We made a deal and he found my silver Santa Fe. Everything from beginning to end has gone extremely well. The car is now sitting in my garage! Bob was very professional, not pushy, just kept making the deal a little better and gently nudging us in the right direction. I definitely recommend First Hyundai and recommend purchasing a Hyundai in general. My old car was 8 years old, 99,300 miles...never a problem, great warranty! We will definitely go back to First Hyundai! Also, Clark in Finance, great as well, read a list of options, no pressure to make choices. All very helpful, and Bob especially willing to explain all the new features and I would not hesitate to stop in or call for help!!!! Thank you all! More

It was a very nerve racking experience. I originally was working with another dealership down the street. I was very unhappy with them, happened to drive by First Hyundai. Very professional and very nice to deal with. Danielle, as internet manager, was right on top of the inventory, very responsive to my emails and a true delight to deal with. Bill was the salesman and he as internet manager, was right on top of the inventory, very responsive to my emails and a true delight to deal with. Bill was the salesman and he was a real pleasure to work with. No high pressure here and he and Danielle both listened to what I was saying and what I needed to do. Unfortunately, they did not meet the price I finally paid at Tarbox but I would not hesitate in the least to try First Hyundai again for my next car. More
