Absolutely TERRIBLE service. Zero stars is actual rating but not allowed here. I guess one star because they were friendly while ripping me off. Minor tire puncture easiest to fix doubled in price and a but not allowed here. I guess one star because they were friendly while ripping me off. Minor tire puncture easiest to fix doubled in price and an unauthorized inspection performed. I needed a small screw removed from the center ridge of a tire with just over 2000 miles on it that caused a very slow leak of about 1 psi per week. This type of minor puncture is very easy & quick to fix with a patch inside and resin injected into the puncture in the tread after screw is removed. I called Firkins service center for repair costs and was told by the service manager the cost would be $25 and no need to schedule appointment as it is a quick fix and they're just work me in. Finding the tire repair cost to be the same as that from a local shop, I thought it best to go where I bought the new car 6 months ago. When I got in the service line I was then told the cost would be $30. A $5 price increase isn't something I was going to complain about. I didn't like it and it was a red flag but I ignored it. 1-1/2 hours later, my car was finally done but now the price to do the simple repair was $49. Nearly doubling the originally quoted price of $25. And the invoice stated a multi-point inspection was done. I was not informed an inspection was going to be done and I did not authorize the inspection to be performed. So was the ridiculously high price and long service time to repair the tire a rip off on tire repair pricing or was the price raised to cover the cost of doing the unauthorized inspection? Either way. I was ripped off. And charging a different price at billing than what was quoted is just plain unethical. On top of this, when I checked the tire pressures when driving off the lot, the repaired tire read 44 psi. Way over spec. And the pressure in one of my other tires changed and was now reading below the the others. So not only did they not properly set the pressure in the repaired tire but the unauthorized multipoint inspection, if actually performed, did not reveal the other tire pressures needed to be adjusted. With all these discrepancies, I cannot trust the tire was repaired properly and the unauthorized inspection actually performed. And I certainly cannot trust service & pricing from this dealer for the up and coming oil change and tire rotation. What's that service cost going to sky rocket to by the time the car is ready? And will the work actually be performed and serviced properly? I also saw the person that drove my car away, go into my center console and glove box which he had no business opening. I don't leave anything in my car so I knew there was nothing worth stealing but it's obvious, top down, service at this dealership cannot be trusted. Lastly, in the air conditioned waiting room, half the people were not wearing a mask in these COVID-19 times and no one from the dealership said anything even when speaking with them. So add being there is also a health risk. After much research into dealership service centers, it appears no dealers, at least none close enough to drive to in 4 counties, are trustworthy. Now I don't know where to take my car for maintenance per the warranty. I made a mistake buying a new car. More
