I NEED TO EMPHASIZE THAT MY CAR RUNS LIKE A BRAND NEW CAMRY BECAUSE SINCE MY FIRST INSPECTION/MAINTENANCE, I ALWAYS HAVE GOTTEN THE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS SUGGESTED BY THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. FOUR hours for a 10,000 mile check up. They told me on the phone that it should take about an hour when I made the appointment. The service writer told me that it should take me no longe They told me on the phone that it should take about an hour when I made the appointment. The service writer told me that it should take me no longer than 90 minutes. Three hours in, I had to go ask about the status of the car. Service writer told me that it would be at least another hour. Did he come to the waiting area to tell me that it would be late? Did it at least call of text? The answer is "no" to both. During my inquiry about the delay, I was told that I could bring it back another time. I was born at night, but not last night: that's just a way of transferring the responsibility of the dealership to the customer. Not going to fall for that old trick. When I asked to speak to the Service Manager a guy who "claimed" to be the Service Manager told me that there was nothing he could do, and implied that this was MY problem. Found out the next day during a phone call - that was clearly generated from a complaint to Toyota corporate - that the guy I was talking to wasn't a Manager at all, just some xxxxxxx that works there. The whole day could have been salvaged with simple, proper, honest communication. But they chose to do the absolute opposite. I should have made a scene at the place, maybe I would have been treated better. However, I cannot assume that they are going to change anything unless management decides to take the time to do proper training in customer service. I should also mention that they didn't even vacuum the car, when I was supposed to get a free wash. More

I have no complains. They do the job asked of them in a timely manner. The 4Runner is washed when I pick it up.
