14 July 2023 I am getting more and more disappointed with the service at Findlay Honda in Centennial. We recently brought our 2013 CRV in for an AC check. On Wednesday, we made an appointment for Thu with the service at Findlay Honda in Centennial. We recently brought our 2013 CRV in for an AC check. On Wednesday, we made an appointment for Thursday at 1:30. We were told it would be $209 just to look at it. We had a coupon for a free AC check but were told that was only a visual check and see if it was blowing air. Why do you need a coupon for that? Anyone can do that. We felt very misled. When we dropped off the car at noon, we were asked if we could leave the car and said sure if we needed to. The rest of the day we didn't hear anything. At 9 a.m., the next day we had to call to check the status and were told we were second in line for a technician. At 3 p.m., we still had not heard from the service department, so we decided to go get the vehicle. When we told the service rep we want the car back, she went back to the garage and was gone for 10 minutes. I found a service manager who help me and actually explained the situation. Because Honda had an AC recall, they were 2 weeks behind. If we were told that from the start, we would have waited to bring in the car. The communication from the service representative was nonexistent to horrible. I have had other issues with service representatives, like being told I need to contact Honda with an issue because he isn't Honda. I thought there is a big sign on the building that says Honda. He just didn't want to deal with the situation. I used to have a good feeling about this Honda dealer, but not anymore. I will probably take my cars for service somewhere else, and the next time I purchase a vehicle, I will look elsewhere. More
I lost my spare key and went to Findlay Honda to get a replacement in Q1 2022. I was told that due to supply chain issues the keys were on back order and I would need to pre-pay for the key and “cut”. No replacement in Q1 2022. No problem, I payed to order the key and was told it would take a month or two. A month or two went by and no one has contacted me so I followed up. I was told the shipment had been delayed another month or so. A month or so later I followed up again and again was told the shipment had been delayed again. This happened multiple times until I was finally told it would be sometime in early 2023. By this point I stopped following up with Honda until July 2023. When I called this time they finally had keys available but seemed to have completely forgotten about me so no one had bothered to notify me. I made an appointment to get the key and at the end I was surprised with an additional charge for over $100.00 for “labor”, that is after I had already pre-paid over $100.00 for the key and “cut”. The delays due to supply chain issues I understand are out of their control; however, the lack of communication and common courtesy I do fault them for. Never once did Findlay Honda reach out to me to give me updates about the delayed order. They didn’t even tell me when keys were finally available, I had to constantly follow up with them. When I finally made the appointment to get the key the representative wasn’t even aware I had already ordered and paid for the key over a year before. The seemed to have forgotten about me and had to go back to invoices from over a year ago to confirm what I told them. After all that they still felt it was necessary to charge me again, which to me felt like a fee for inconveniencing their busy service department with a year and a half old service claim. 1/5 Would not recommend. Not only that he is very informative with the car as well . i highly recommend this person if you are trying to buy a car . most of the ti you want . I got great 👍 service at my dealership, my Honda CRV starter would grind in the morning when I first started. During the rest of the day no problem no noise. The service technician ask me to leave the car to see what happens. Next day the car was ready, the service technician told me he checked everything, and found no problem. But after the service call, I've heard no noise and no grinding, the car starts first time every time. What ever they did fixed my problem and I'm happy, thank you. More
Took new Ridgeline in for 6 month service. Our service tech — Isaiah — was most helpful with scheduling and explaining what was involved. Asked if we wanted "a wash with that?" And when we were all finished he paired our phones for us, a process beyond us two senior citizens. Highly recommend Findlay Service. More
