My husband and I went to Findlay Honda to trade our 2012 Pilot which was just too large for our needs. It is a wonderful vehicle but we were intersted in a CRV which we had owned previously. Everyone we met in the dealership was most friendly and really made you feel like a valued customer. While travelling back to CA we had a minor incident on I-40 that caused serious damage to the cooling system on our Acura. We managed to get to Flagstaff (150 miles) where we located Findlay Honda. Since we were out-of-state, I was concerned about the quality of service we might receive. It was an unnecessary concern. The service rep. (Ryan Long) was very courteous, professional, and helpful. He communicated with our insurance rep.(in CA), assisted us in acquiring a rental car, and kept us posted on progress during our three day delay. The repair estimates were honest, and the costs were fair. We continue our trip with peace of mind, because we knew the repairs were completed by Honda standards. I have found few dealerships where EVERYONE we met (salesmen who knew we weren't their to buy a car, service personnel, parts personnel, receptionists, to employees walking down the hall), were courteous, friendly, understanding, and helpful. My 20 year old Honda Accord broke down unexpectedly at a time when I couldn't really afford to buy anything. Kevin helped me find a good used Honda CRV with high miles but had only had one previous owner a time when I couldn't really afford to buy anything. Kevin helped me find a good used Honda CRV with high miles but had only had one previous owner and was supposedly in excellent condition. He and other Findlay staff helped me to find a very low interest rate and did not pressure sell me to buy a bunch of unnecessary warranty's or fluff. (I don't like buying warranty's because that's like betting your car will break down within a year and I'd rather bet that it won't. I don't like paying interest on Warranty's that most likely won't even be used.) Unfortunately, before I had owned the car 30 days, I had a hard time starting the car in the mornings. When I took the car in to see what the problem was, the mechanic, Lynn, said the oil and filters needed to be changed. I was shocked because I was told they had done a 27 or some number inspection on the car so how could I need an oil change and new air filters after only 3 weeks? To explain, Lynn told me that it had over 100,000 miles on it but I had bought the car that way and it although it was NOT a Certified Used vehicle, I was guaranteed it had a some number point inspection. Lynn went to check with sales and came back saying they would do the oil and air filter change for no charge and do an inspection. However,they want to charge me to correct any problems concerning the hard start on cold mornings. They should have found this problem before they sold it to me and I didn't think I should be charged because it was still under a 30 day warranty. The next day after the oil change, I was gassing up to leave town and when I tried to start the CRV in front of a Chevron station in Flagstaff and it wouldn't start at all. Two mechanics came to try to help me but no one could figure out what it was. I had to rent a car because I had to get to work 250 miles away by the next day. Chevron was kind enough to allow me to leave the car at their station until I could figure out what to do with it. During lunch on my job, I called Kevin to tell him the car wouldn't start and that it was left in front of the Chevron. He was kind enough to go out to check on it on his day off and called me back later to agree that it wouldn't start. Fortunately, Honda DID take care of the towing and fixed the starter for me at no cost. In addition, they paid for my rental car after I negotiated that deal. Boyd, the manager said they would take care of me and told me the car was ready and it had been detailed but when I went to get it, the inside had not even been vacuumed. I didn't ask for that but it seems if they tell you something will be done, it should be done. I was amazed that they had dropped the ball AGAIN on me even though this was a little thing. These little things really add up especially when you have to wait a long time for something you call ahead for. I was so frustrated. It's bad advertisement for both them and myself to have temporary plates on a Honda with their name on it when people see I can't start my car. It's rather late for them to recover from the bad publicity because the people at the Chevron and the rental car people know a Honda just purchased with temporary plates wouldn't start. They did make partially good on their mistakes by paying for the rental car but I feel frustrated and doubtful that I've made a good purchase. I'm quite sure I'll have more expense before the year is up and I really wish I could get out of this deal. I asked if they would make good by extending my warranty but they would not. Everyone was friendly but straight answers were hard to get. To me Honda Findlay is the same as any other car dealer and I don't really like any of them. I had to buy a car and really had no choice. I had read the reviews and heard that Findlay Honda was a cut above but that wasn't my experience. While they've done some nice things for me, overall, I'm quite disappointed. These things should have been done before I drove off the lot the first time. I hold them to higher standards than this, after all, they work for HONDA and they're supposed to be better. More

She helped me sign up for e-mail coupons and specials. Lynn Selby actually found that double the parts I needed were ordered and paid for on a previous visit so he corrected my invoice, and deducted the payment for the extra parts from the installation invoice. I am thankful for the honesty and care that I received from all of them, Susan Sibole, who has helped me several times before, Deborah, who is new, and Lynn Selby. Now my car is running really well. I have ordered more parts to upgrade my Honda, that I love very much, and I'll be back soon for those to be installed and for continuing service! THANK YOU! Great job! More

Best car buying experience I have ever had. Gary was very low key and not the typical car salesman. Took a test drive in a 2012 CRV at the end of August and was willing to wait for a vehicle with my specific low key and not the typical car salesman. Decided to work with Findlay dealership in Flagstaff rather than a Honda dealer in the valley because they are low key and low pressure. Needed an AWD and the valley dealerships kept telling me I did not need a AWD. The customer is always right! Trey was not easily budged on extras, but I think we got a fair price after doing a lot of research. Walking into Donna' office brought back bad memories of prior car buying experiences, but she was great, funny, and very quick. No pain whatsoever. She even gave me a free oil change and Gary gave me a cable to hook up my I Pad. It is the little things that count. Son who owns a Civic took his car to Findlay for service while a student at NAU. Always helpful and satisfied. Only recommendation as other reviewer said, they need more inventory. More
