Bad buying experience, even worse detailing. AWFUL BUYING EXPERIENCE, EVEN WORSE DETAILING. I could go on and on about the scummy things that dealerships/finance guys get away with, but becaus AWFUL BUYING EXPERIENCE, EVEN WORSE DETAILING. I could go on and on about the scummy things that dealerships/finance guys get away with, but because the FORTY-FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($4,500) worth of product they snuck into my deal was removed, I won't bore you with that. I have always been a huge fan of Toyota's impeccable product, as well as their high-standard service and innovative design. I have been in-love with every generation 4Runner at some point or another, but ended up pulling the trigger on a pre-owned 2014 5th gen 4runner. Unfortunately, they didn't have time to detail the rig before I left, so the salesman and I made plans to have it detailed the following week. We also talked about getting a full tank of gas for having to come back to the dealership for it to be detailed. The poor salesman tried to wipe down the interior and vacuum some, but the previous owner had fine-haired demon dogs who left the vehicle absolutely filthy. Shortly after leaving the dealership, I found a RUSTED NAIL embedded, and thoroughly rusted into the center of my tire. I brought the 4runner back before the scheduled detail date. I also spent a lot of time vacuuming and wiping down the 4runner because I could NOT stand the scent of this person's dog. Fast-forward to TONIGHT, I picked up my new-to-me 4runner.. First and foremost, as soon as I opened the door, I was about knocked over with the awful smell of dog.. AND the tank was empty, gas light on. There is still dog hair absolutely everywhere. The detailers couldn't bring themselves to take off the paint marker done by the dealership, or the stickers from the previous owner. My blind grandmother could've done a better job wiping down the interior.. Why did I even bring this back to the dealership?! I am absolutely appalled at what a "fresh detail" is from the LHM detailing team. How does this dealership continue to sell used cars if they can't even make them look good?? It's absolutely disheartening to buy a vehicle and have it feel like a hand-me-down, when it's your hard earned money being spent. I'm sure they didn't care to do a good job because I had already bought the vehicle, but why even waste time "detailing" something that you're not going to do well. Fortunately enough, they patched my tire. But we'll see what else goes wrong within the next 24 hours. The only complaint I cannot make is with the salesman that helped me, Mykle Modrell. He was very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful. Even tried to grab a razor and cleaner to get the paint marks that the detail team didn't care to do. It's safe to say I WILL NOT be returning to LHM. More

They were very friendly and honest, telling me exactly what was needed to be done with my vehicle, saving me quite a bit of money, compared to what it would have cost me if I had taken it to my old repair shop. I am so grateful to them! More

A productive & happy day I took the day off to take both my Tundra truck and Highlander SUV in for service. The Tundra doesn't get driven often but it did need an oil ch I took the day off to take both my Tundra truck and Highlander SUV in for service. The Tundra doesn't get driven often but it did need an oil change and a inspection to look for potential problems. With the truck in the service bay by 0730, I took off to find breakfast along 3rd Avenue. I found Molly's down the street & wasn't disappointed. Sated with breakfasted, I walked back to Downtown Toyota. There I amused myself for another hour and some, when Chris called me & said it was done. I went to the service counters, signed all the paperwork, bought an oil change special, paid right there by debit card and was out to the parking area to get my truck. The truck was washed and it was nice to have all the bugs across the front end removed. Now I could see properly, especially driving towards the sun! It was great start for the day, fast service & no problems with the truck, a hearty breakfast, and an energized start to running errands. Errands complete, I went home to claim the Highlander SUV. I arrived at the dealer at 1151 and was out the door to find lunch before noon. The SUV needed its 30,000 mile routine maintenance. So the wait was longer upon returning from lunch as the service efforts were more extensive and complicated. I waited in the service lounge and got a nap too. At 1430, Luke came to tell me it was done. This was was a duplicate of the first transaction minus the oil change special. It was an easy day & everything went right. Errands completed, both vehicles serviced with no hassles, it just can't get better than that. Thank you Downtown Toyota! Gene More
