Newell Olmstead - Can I Give Him Six Stars? I never write reviews, and I was not asked to write this one. This is for all those out there who are searching for a new or used vehicle who live in the Las Vegas area, or who are willing (like me) to fly there in an effort to work with the absolute best salesperson in the business. After three months of researching several different vehicles and talking to one salesperson after another, my prayers were finally answered. I found Newell Olmstead from Findlay Chevrolet, in Las Vegas, Nevada. I had no idea it would be so difficult to find the auto I wanted. And although Findlay did not have the exact vehicle I wanted, they found one at a nearby dealership and brought it over. But that is just the beginning….. I absolutely dreaded the process of dealing with car salesmen. Probably one reason I kept my old vehicle as long as I did. The first few local dealerships I talked to and test drove with did not prove me wrong either. I was giving up the hope of a no hassle sale very quickly. But I did find just about every sales personality imaginable in a 200 mile radius. They weren’t all impossible to deal with, but nothing felt right or comfortable either. Finally, just about the time I decided to give it up, keep my eleven year old vehicle and put more money into it, there was a voice on the phone one Monday morning, and I just knew – this is my salesperson. If you are looking for absolute consideration and respect, and a very prompt response to every question you could ever think to ask, this is your man. He’s not your flashy, let’s just get you in and make the deal kind of guy. He’s the no question is too unimportant, no task too big, no apologies, no worries - I will take care of it, straight talking kind of guy. Like dealing with a family member, or a good friend that you have known for years and trust completely. Newell met a friend and I at the Vegas airport, did not keep us waiting even five minutes in the heat, and while I couldn’t help wondering if he wasn’t just too good to be true – he never disappointed. My new car was sitting in their covered area, out of the sun, clean, fueled and ready to drive five hundred miles back home. I wanted a new Cruze Eco Turbo-called Tim-he referred me to Nathan Janacek but he was with another customer, but had me talk with Sabrina Fabrizio about working with Peter Kinnum-I asked her if she Peter could work with an old Army Veteran "curmudgeon" like me-she said he was perfect since he was a young curmudgeon; and he was a good fit. It is truly a wonderful experience dealing with Findlay, as we have dealt with them in the past at Findlay Olds (now Findlay Cadillac). We did all of our paper work with Marco, and it was a real pleasure and painless. Then, Ernie showed us all the features in the car before we drove it off the lot. Delightful purchase I was interested in a Chevy Equinox. I contacted another dealer and got a high price. I called Findlay after requesting an online quote.
