Traveling from Phoenix back home to Colorado Springs, my 2005 Jetta TDI started "missing" randomly between Flagstaff and Albuquerque. We spent the night in Albuquerque (as planned) and then drove to Uptown 2005 Jetta TDI started "missing" randomly between Flagstaff and Albuquerque. We spent the night in Albuquerque (as planned) and then drove to Uptown VW at 7:30 am (not planned on Good Friday). John greeted us and listened to the symptoms of my problem. Even though I had no appointment, John got my car in the shop and had the air and fuel filters changed by 8:45 am. We continued our trip home driving 400 more miles with no more problems. John even called my house late in the afternoon to check and see if the repairs had solved the problem. Thanks for getting us in for service and minimizing the disruption of my trip! More
Cost of replacing running light a little high ($50) but satisfied with work. Diagnostic test of $60 a little high but satisfied with what found out. $1,500 repair estimate on air conditioner will mean 5 t satisfied with work. I will take back to you if make repair. Would be willing to consider what Garcia VW or Garcia Honda would offer for car on tradwe in. More

The "check-engine" light appeared on the instrument cluster of our 2007 Passat Wagon while traveling from Stillwater, OK to Phoenix, AZ for the Christmas Holidays. Albuquerque was the closes instrument cluster of our 2007 Passat Wagon while traveling from Stillwater, OK to Phoenix, AZ for the Christmas Holidays. Albuquerque was the closest major city, so we decided to stop at Uptown VW and have the problem reviewed and repaired before proceeding on to Phoenix. John Holcomb was our first point of contact... very friendly and he encouraged us to relax in their waiting room while our car was looked at by their service department. Within a few minutes we were presented with the bad news that the engine had experience a major problem and the repair required special parts that he would need to order. We were very disappointed at first since the car was packed with gifts for our family in Phoenix and getting the parts in on the Friday before Christmas seemed more than a long-shot. John immediately helped us locate a rental car, helped us exchange all of our possessions from our Passat into the rental car and sent us on our way. We and our gifts made it to Phoenix where we enjoyed Christmas as if we never experienced car trouble. Following Christmas he communicated when the parts would arrive... we planned our return drive accordingly and when we arrived the car was repaired and out for a test drive. Upon completion of the repair, once again, John helped us exchange our possessions between the rental car and our now fully operational Passat Wagon. We cannot say enough good things about John and the entire service team at Uptown VW! They helped to make a very difficult situation seem simple and exceeded all of our expectations! John and Uptown set a new benchmark for customer service that other VW dealers will find hard to meet or exceed. We made Stillwater, OK the next day and we still tell everyone we see about John and Uptown and what a difference they made to our Christmas vacation. More
Quality of work is difficult to define since this was a routine maintenance which entailed an oil change. However, the cost is very expensive, but because my vehicle is a diesel, I was apprehensive of havi routine maintenance which entailed an oil change. However, the cost is very expensive, but because my vehicle is a diesel, I was apprehensive of having it serviced at a commercial service department. Both Justine and the other gentleman (didn't get his name) were very friendly, courteous, and amiable and exhibited willingness to assist me regarding any concerns. Additionally, they helped meet my needs by allowing me to pick up the vehicle the next day which was a Saturday with the sales department staff. The staff who I dealt with to pick up the car were friendly, courteous, and expedient in providing me the keys to my vehicle as well as the receipt and info found on the point inspection. Thank you for your great customer service. More
Just like the other reviews I read online before visiting the dealership, Uptown is fantastic. John Holcomb is so efficient, knowledgeable and considerate. The people in the back must be too. They found thre the dealership, Uptown is fantastic. John Holcomb is so efficient, knowledgeable and considerate. The people in the back must be too. They found three other things that were broken that we didn't even know about and fixed those also, after our approval of course. We drove four hours to get our 1999 Eurovan serviced and they had to either find or make the parts to fix it and we drove back home through snow, sleet, rain and wind with no problems. These people are fantastic! More
