Don't expect ANY follow-through! Just purchased a new GTI. There was a small discrepancy in the price I was quoted. The salesperson said he would correct it and did not. Worse: the sales manager, KC, thanked me for bringing this to his attention, saw this as a "learning opportunity" for this (new) salesperson, and promised to call on the day I picked up the car. He did not. Several days later I left KC a phone message. It has now been 20 days. Nothing. Is this any way to run a business? More

After purchasing my 2018 Tiguan from Garcia Uptown VW and reporting issues within the first week, the sales manager, Ayrat, was smug and dismissive. The service manager shrugged me off and wasn't interested in fixing the problem (lazy). Even when I tried to report my experience in person to the general manager of Garcia Cars, Matt Newton, I was told he was out of town and would get back to me - never heard back. Aside from CJ Sanchez in finance (very informative and understanding), this was the worst car buying experience I could have ever imagined. After months of frustration trying to work with Garcia Uptown VW and Garcia Santa Fe VW, I went to University VW where they treated me professionally, graciously, and fixed the issue within a week! I wish I had taken my business to them in the first place. More

The single worst experience I've ever had purchasing a car. Wait for it. My wife & I spent months finding the perfect car for her. Turns out it was a 2018 GTI SE. We test drove one in Scottsdale, loved it, and approached Uptown VW when we returned to see if they could match the price. They offered a deal that was within $500. I agreed & told our salesman Kevin that I would be there the following day with a cashiers check. As I was driving to the dealership, Kevin called and informed me that they could not put fuel in the vehicle. Having spent my youth as a mechanic, I figured it was some minor design flaw for the 2018 model & all would be fine by the time I wanted to pick it up for my wife. Wrong. They spent days trying to figure out what was wrong. Ultimately flying out a master tech from VW, only to tell them that the fuel tank was already full! Kevin called me and explained this. I said, ok what time can we pick up our car? 6pm Friday. Done. We arrive and Kevin is out on a test drive. I ask to see our car. The other salesman states that it's not ready. Upon Kevin's return, we find out that our car has not be detailed & cleaned because a manger wanted his personal vehicle washed. At this point they offer a loaner car to us so we can go to dinner. I accept only to find that once I arrive at the restaurant Kevin failed to give me the fob for the loaner car. Um what more do I need to say? Run, run so far away. More
Total misrepresentation of car Flew 800 miles to purchase 2014 Equus which was represented as Ultimate model. Had several discussions with sales manager prior to flying down to Albuquerque about specific features of vehicle.. Car was base Signature model with severe "road rash" on all four wheels and lots of paint chips. Sales and General Managers were both very unconcerned about transaction and downright rude when i didn't buy car. Had to stay overnight and schedule return flight next day (Memorial Day week end so lots of delays). I had planned on driving the car back home. Requested ($350) refund which was one third of my expenses but was basically told too bad--admitted they didn't know the difference in the two models even after my many questions prior to flying to dealership. Glad to see that 5 months later they still have the car in inventory. More
Professionals Hands Down I had a one year factory maintenance service appointment. Service department was clean, stylish, and everyone in the building (service techs and sales I had a one year factory maintenance service appointment. Service department was clean, stylish, and everyone in the building (service techs and salespeople) were polite and courteous. My vehicle went in at scheduled appointment time and was out in less than an hour. The service manager took the time to go over the service provided. (and talk some college football out of season). As others have written, my vehicle was clean and shiny from the free wash. (Nice touch with the wash, VW Uptown!) More

Being a retired person now, I fretted over t Service Advisor, Charles Moon, diagnosed the problem with my 2000 GTI and gave me a firm cost for repair. Being a retired person now, I fretted over the cost for many days. Charles worked with me to reduce the cost and I was able to afford the repair now rather than way later. I have my much needed car to drive again and... Thank You, Charles and Uptown Volkswagen! More
