I set up an appointment online stating my 2020 Crosstreck had appoximatly 20900 miles. I sent my wife in for the service and I'm not sure what got off track but we ended up spending over a thousand dollars had appoximatly 20900 miles. I sent my wife in for the service and I'm not sure what got off track but we ended up spending over a thousand dollars for a 30K service. While my wife waited in the waiting area for the car, she wasn't even approached if she wanted the $57 cabin air filter changed. Ironic, that she was provided a service she didn't really need and the one filter that showed physical evidence (someone actually looked at to report then put it back) of needing to be changed she wasn't informed on. I can only assume there is a culture issue at Fiesta: 1) When we bought the car we were treated poorly until they discovered we had over an 800 credit score. 2) The service department must be encouraged to upgrade services for financial gains More
Dishonest and mediocre experience at the service department (more details below). Update 2/25: I recently came in for 30,000 mile / 3 year service on my Crosstrek, and then found out that they department (more details below). Update 2/25: I recently came in for 30,000 mile / 3 year service on my Crosstrek, and then found out that they charged me for a bunch of services ($1,000 total) that aren't prescribed on the official Subaru maintenance schedule. I called Subaru of America to confirm that my Crosstrek did not need everything that Fiesta charged me for. They basically added differential fluid change a full year before needed, and an engine coolant change 110,000 miles / 8 years before needed. Compared to the regular service of oil change, tire rotation, and inspection which costs $100 (totally reasonable), I don't know how replacing the brake fluid (needed), and the differential and cooling fluid (not needed) added up to an extra $900. Ridiculous. I called them back to ask why they charged me for all of this extra stuff and was told that it's needed because Albuquerque is in a hot, dry, high altitude environment. But the Subaru maintenance schedule addresses the needs for different environments (e.g. extreme cold, like Minnesota) and there are NO exceptions for service changes related to high altitude, dry air, or hot temperatures. This is beyond unethical. Original Review: I took it in for service because the head unit (stereo) was flaky, and rebooted itself randomly. They replaced it but the new HU has a different set of problems. Seems like bad QA at Subaru of America engineering, so I can’t really blame the dealership for that. At the same appointment, I asked them to remove some visible glue that was still on the body panels from the protective wrap. It was not removed. I also asked for 2 extra license plate screws, since it has 4 holes but only 2 screws came with the dealer plate. They did not attach extra screws. Seems like they cannot pay attention to details. Then I took it in again for the 6,000 mile service. They rotated and balanced the tires, and now it drives slightly more rough than before. I took it back and they went for a road test but said they found nothing wrong. But even my girlfriend said she noticed the extra vibration when she rode in my car after the rotation. Granted, it is a very subtle vibration, but it is definitely there and not the same as pre-rotation. Also I again asked for 2 extra license plate screws and again they forgot. So I asked before I left, and the guy went to the back and returned with 2 screws which don’t match the original set and are too big to fit in the screw holes. I think he literally just grabbed 2 random screws that were lying around in the service dept. Lastly, it seems like every time I go, the services take 2-5x longer than I would expect based on my past experience. Usually they do finish a bit earlier than they quote, but 3 to 4 hours just to do an oil change, rotate and balance the tires, and go through a basic inspection checklist seems a bit ridiculous. Seems like they are understaffed. More
My experience buying my first Subaru was great, and I’m glad I chose to do it at Fiesta Subaru! Jerry in sales and Adam in finance were excellent! glad I chose to do it at Fiesta Subaru! Jerry in sales and Adam in finance were excellent! More
I worked with Nate and Chris on two different days and ultimately purchased a Forester. Both of them applied no sales pressure, even on my first day in when I said all I wanted to do was look. They answer ultimately purchased a Forester. Both of them applied no sales pressure, even on my first day in when I said all I wanted to do was look. They answered my questions knowledgably, and I came away with a deal I thought was fair. I've yet to bring the vehicle in for service, but I would definitely recommend the sales team. More
