Dishonesty and games I began my car purchasing experience by visiting my local Mazda dealership, Skyland Mazda. This was my first visit, and my husband and I were interest I began my car purchasing experience by visiting my local Mazda dealership, Skyland Mazda. This was my first visit, and my husband and I were interested in learning more about the CX 9 because I was not too familiar with Mazda or that model. Jewel was the saleswoman who approached us and started giving us information about the used CX 9 that we stopped to look at. My first impression was a good one. Jewel was helpful and able to answer my questions as she has a CX 9 of her own. We went for a test drive and then I wanted to go to lunch and think about things. This is where I started to experience the typical "car salesman" games. She became increasingly pushy and even asked how long lunch would take and when we might come back. While at lunch, I decided that I might take advantage of the 0% financing offer on the new 2018 models. I came home and submitted an online request through American Express for a True Car price quote from local dealerships. I received a great quote from Momentum Mazda in Gastonia. Because I had initially worked with Jewel and she took the time to take me for a test drive, I reached out to her and asked if Skyland would be able to meet this price so I could keep my business with them. She responded no, and then went on to say "if you found a loaded Grand Touring CX 9 new without miles on it for $38,394 you need to go buy that car because I have no idea how they can offer you that price." She then insisted that the car had to be used and that the Skyland car had more equipment (even though she had no information about the car I had received the offer on). I sent her a copy of the email from the other dealership explaining the details of my offer, and she responded trying to tell me how that dealership was not being honest with me. If she had bothered to read the details of the email and offer, she would have realized that she was the one giving me the wrong information. Through my entire interaction with Jewel regarding the new car and the offer from Momentum Mazda, she was dishonest and kept insisting that Momentum was misleading me and trying to trick me. She ended up being the one full of crap. I received everything that Momentum offered me, for the price they offered me without any problem or hassle. I cannot speak for the entire Skyland Mazda dealership since my only interaction was with Jewel, but I can promise that I will not be doing any business with her. More

Quick, excellent help. Friendly personnel and helpful. Service personnel were quick to attend to my needs. Made me feel welcome and went about their duties in a professional manner. They recognize me as a returning customer and were good about making me feel welcome. Service was quick and 'out-to-door' in no time. Customer lounge is getting quite "long in the tooth" and could use some updating. No reflection on the service personnel. More
Great sales experience with Austin Austin was a pleasure to work with. He was very knowledgable about the CX-3 and answered any questions I had. No hassle negotiation. The car and paperwork were prepared in advance of my arrival to pick up car. I could have been finished in 15 minutes, if it wasn't for a backlog with the business office. The only reason to not give 5 stars was the 45 minute wait for someone in the business office to take me into their office. Overall a positive experience! More

The terms of our lease were very satisfying and within our budget. It was nice of her to call the day after we picked up our Mazda and ask if we needed further assistance. We will certainly give a good reference to any of our friends who might be interest in a vehicle to lease or purchase. The financial rep was very informative. She spent time with us in a very friendly way and explained options on our lease. She was very thorough and pleasant. Your dealership was recommended by a friend of mine and we were happy to do business with Skyland Automotive. More

Lee was the salesman on both, and Jan did the finance paper work on both. Barry did the sealant on both. Barry took care of the navigation software and a small light that was not working on ours. First Lease Experience My experience with the dealership and staff from start to finish was amazing! I had done a lot of research before going to dealerships and at Skyland My experience with the dealership and staff from start to finish was amazing! I had done a lot of research before going to dealerships and at Skyland I was looking at a couple different trims of the Mazda3. Skeeter did a great job of explaining the features the car had and the test drives were great. The first time it was a short loop around the dealership, but when the Mazda3 made the final short list and I came back for the second drive I was able to take it for a little longer and really see if I was comfortable with it and if I liked it. The sales feeling was more informational and helpful than pushy, especially compared to some of the other dealerships I went to through this process. The final process of finalizing the payments went smoothly and I got the best deal that I was able to find for the Mazda3, and honestly it even beat out some of the other cars I had in my shortlist. Mark was great in handling the final paperwork and signing of everything. It was only about an hour and everything was signed and ready to go. Overall a great experience and I highly recommend this dealership and Skeeter as a sales associate. More
