I was considering a few makes and models- all small compacts with a low price tag (smart, scion IQ, Yaris, and Rio). I had seen reviews of the Fiat, but had assumed it would be out of my price range. W compacts with a low price tag (smart, scion IQ, Yaris, and Rio). I had seen reviews of the Fiat, but had assumed it would be out of my price range. While searching on the internet for end of year lease deals I came across a great deal for Thousand Oaks Fiat. I submitted an inquiry and the internet sales manager Andrew got back to me confirming the special and with some information on the 500. I scheduled an appointment for later that week, and started doing some serious research on Fiat and on leasing. I came into Thousand Oaks Fiat, armed with a wealth of information and ready to do business. The sales staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I was interested in test driving both an automatic and manual, so they sent me out with Alex who owned a manual 500. The clutch on this car is very soft, although I was new to driving a stick I had a hard time getting used to the tension point on this car (its very light- you're almost off the pedal before the wheels engage). Needless to say I stalled a whole mess of times, but Alex was very patient and even gave me a few pointers. After the test drive I sat down with Mike to look at the numbers, Andrew also swung by to say hello. At this point I was in love with the car, and just needed to get the nitty gritty. Surprisingly there were no gimmicks, the price I was quoted on the phone was the price they gave me at the showroom. They even offered to show me a few models that could be a little less per month! I was sold, the car was what I wanted, the price was right, and the sales staff was completely honest and straight forward. I went in by myself, never having leased/bought a car before and got a great deal. They even arranged to drop the car off at my place in Encino, since I had driven a rental out there and needed to return it. This was a great experience, and I highly recommend Thousand Oaks Fiat. My only regret is forgetting to sign the Fiat Family wall in the showroom- but I'm sure I'll be back for racing strips on my 'rosso brillante' 500 pop! p.s.- I did end up getting the manual transmission model, am I a pro at driving it- no, but I'm having a helluva good time learning!
