I leased my first car ever this past May from Fette KIA in Clifton, NJ. I was greeted at the door by a gentleman named Ali. I had been told by many people to be careful with car salesman because they can tend to trick you a lot. Not this guy though - Ali was very straight with me. He was a kind young gentleman who took the time to get to know me and we established a good relationship. As a smart customer would do, I went to a competitive dealer up in Mahwah, NJ. The car salesman there was rude and their prices were significantly higher than Fette. After establishing that I would rather stick with Fette, I ran into a few problems due to the fact that because I was so young and didn’t have significant credit yet, I needed a cosigner yet my parents lived all the way in Texas. Ali did his best and worked with the sales manager there, Pat, to help make this work for me, all within the allotted time period to qualify for a couple holiday great offers. When Ali wasn’t there, his coworkers and sales Manager Pat did a great job of helping accommodate me. Ali has a bright future with the company and with his attitude; he will earn Fette KIA some loyal customers for life. More

I purchased a 2013 Optima EX (with 46 miles on the odometer) on July 8, 2013. They had a group of cars that were marked down about $4,000 below sticker. The sign at the dealership read New Optima $17,990. After the customary haggling about the price of my trade-in (2010 Forte) we agreed upon a price and I gave them a check for the balance. After taking delivery I called Sirius Radio to transfer my time from the Forte to the Optima. Sirius informed me my (90 day) trial would end on August 1st. When I questioned why August (I purchased the car in July), they told me Fette Kia started the radio subscription on in May. After 2 phone calls to my salesman (no return calls) I went to the dealer to complain and they adjusted the time. Next problem was with my registration..............the temporary license plate they gave me was about to expire so I call Fette to ask when my permanent registration would be issued. I explained to them I needed it soon because I could not use the car with an "expired temp plate". They told me the person working on this was on vacation and I had to check back next week........... I went to the dealer (took a vacation day) to resolve this issue and request another temp plate so I could drive the car to work. The person in the office was staring at her PC screen for a few minutes and asked another employee to take a look. They finally told me that "someone" made a mistake in the system and they had to call my salesman to fix it. I can understand a "mistake" so I asked for another temp plate because mine would expire the next day. The salesman told me they couldn't give me another temp plate (it costs them money to do this) and he needed my old license plate number and my old registration so he could transfer them to the new car. I explained to him I shredded the old registration and I didn't have the plates with me. I had to go home to make sure I gave him the correct plate number................since he NEVER EVER returns phone calls I had to drive back to the dealer. With my plates in hand I went directly to the sales manager and told him (in a VERY LOUD voice), I want my $%$ING registration and I want it right &^%$ing now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Five minutes later I had my paperwork. Amazing what you can accomplish with a loud voice (a few choice words) and a showroom full of people. I went back home to write a complaint to the general manager of the dealership. I "noticed" all of my paperwork was dated June 8 NOT July 8. I had to wait a couple of hours to return to Fette because I didn't want to say or do something stupid that might end in my arrest. I told the sales manager that we have another problem............he said the person in the office was busy I could wait or they would prepare the papers and call me. I asked him to call me (he never did). I asked him to make sure my Warranty started on the correct date and he looked me in the eye and "assured" me the warranty started on July 8 not June 8. He was sure because he was the one that put this in the computer................................ I had to return to the dealership to question what happened and they issued "one" of the six papers with the correct July 8 date. I called Kia they told me the Warranty started in April. I explained the situation and they told me the car I purchased was a "test drive demo" and the Fette invoked the warranty in April. Kia told me Fette could fix this and adjust the warranty to start on the correct date (minus the 46 miles) which I could live with. The salesmanager at Fette promised me that the warranty issue would be "fixed" this NEVER happened. The general manager promised that hye would look into this and get back to me he NEVER called me I have opened two cases with Kia and met with the general manager at Fette in person. My warranty remains April 2013......... There are a few more problems I could list here but I think you get the message. More

I bring this up because my reputation exceeds my competition. I have purchased 4 cars from your company over the past 3 years. Like every person does even though I am loyal to your company, I have always checked out the competition. Doing this always lead me back to Fette. A purchase of a new vehicle is the second biggest purchase in anyone’s life so the stress level is very intense. Every time I come to your company for a final purchase I am always satisfied with the outcome. We all always have to check out competitors to know what makes us better and gives us our competitive edge. I have to tell you people hate having to negotiate with the back and forth it makes the stress level increase, not only the haggling it is the 4 hour time to even get the car. So I was at a competitor due to a referral it was my worst experience they started at a crazy number and after calling me 6 times came down to the actual price I wanted to pay. This tells me they were more concerned with their pocket rather than having a customer for life. My last 2 purchases from your company have been so pleasant and painless. Knowing I am very busy and need my hand held making a purchase. I did not have to bother with the back and forth of haggling, I had clients calling interrupting my sales person trying to sell me a car. Again I have to say I was impressed. I am about being real not a fake sales person actually I wish I had sales people like him on my staff. I could not pick up the car and my wife just started a new job. So there were so many things going on and time was an issue. The sales person Don and Ed assured me that they will take care of everything. Don even gave me his cell to call him when I was on my way. He took time from his day off to finish up my sale. Sorry for this long letter but I really felt you needed to hear the whole story. I always refer people I truly believe will go above and beyond, not worry always about how much they can make off a sale and truly put the customer first. That is what Ed and Don have done for me with my last 3 purchases. I will be advising people to not waste their time at other dealers because I went to 3 of them in the area and not one of them could shine Don’s or Ed’s shoes when it comes to customer quality, and service. It is very difficult to find people like this so you have found 2 of the most valuable assets in your company. If you should have any questions please feel free to contact me. Our experience at Fette Kia was wonderful. The entire staff is not only courteous and professional, but provided us with a "no-pressure" shopping experience. At no point were they pushy or aggressive, rather, were very helpful in answering all our questions and trying to accommodate our needs in a new vehicle as best possible. My husband test drove both the Optima and the Forte; and the salesman, Ken Cedar was very patient and informative answering all my husband's questions. When it came time to negotiate the terms of the lease, Pedro Martinez, the Manager, was extremely professional, pleasant and more than willing to work with us to accommodate our needs. The gentleman in the finance department, Dan, was also very professional and friendly. He provided us with efficient service and was also willing to thoroughly explain all the documents and answer all our questions. Our salesman, Ken Cedar, was amazing as was the manager, Pedro Martinez. Our experience at this dealership is EXACTLY was a car buying experience should be. No pressure or intimidation; but rather, helpful and friendly salespeople willing to answer all your questions and accommodate all your needs. The showroom, waiting rooms and even the restrooms are extremely clean and very well-maintained. All other dealerships should use Fette as an example when training their employees on how to treat customers, "make a sale" and have a successful dealership. The entire staff at Fette were very friendly and courteous, even providing my children with the remote control to the tv in the showroom while were were car shopping and filling out all the paperwork! The new Kia Optima that we purchased was given to us freshly washed, vacuumed and detailed with a full tank of gas. The entire car buying experience was a wonderful, no-pressure experience for us at Fette. This is a dealership that we will definitely return to when shopping for other cars in the future. We will definitely highly recommend not only our salesman Ken Cedar; the manager, Pedro Martinez; but the ENTIRE dealership to as many people as possible. When filling out the above survey, if we could have rated ALL the categories higher than a "5-Great", we would have. They definitely receive a "10" in our book. I would recommend customers to come to Fette and purchase a Ford vehicle. I just purchased a 2013 Ford Edge. I couldn't refuse the price that was given to me. When I walked onto the lot at Fette Kia, I was pleasantly approached by Chris De La Cruz. I was interested in the Kia Sorento, but had no intention of puchasing a vehicle that day. Chris provided me with the information I needed and encouraged me to take a test drive. He has a courteous, friendly, no pressure manner that I found refreshing. Unfortunately, even in the year 2013, a woman buying a car on her own can be somewhat stressful, but Chris made it easy. He was helpful, honest, and very knowledgable about Kia and all the deals being offered.....yet respectful enough to give me the time I needed to come to my own decision. The day I bought my car everything went smoothly, from start to finish. Chris even came in on his day off to accomodate my schedule. In the end, I was able to get the car I wanted at a price I was comfortable with! The Fette Kia team really works hard to please their customers.
