Sold a defective "Certified Pre-Owned" Jeep We purchased a 2011 Jeep Patriot from Ferman of New Port Richey on July 17, 2016. We originally thought we had a very pleasant car buying experience We purchased a 2011 Jeep Patriot from Ferman of New Port Richey on July 17, 2016. We originally thought we had a very pleasant car buying experience with Tracy Buczkowski and Finance Director, Robert Packard. On Tuesday, August 23, 2016, my husband was driving the 3 miles home from work when the Jeep stalled while turning in downtown Tampa. We had the car towed to the nearest dealer, Jerry Ulm in Tampa. We were informed our newly purchased Jeep needed new wheel bearings and had axle fluid leaking. I told Jerry Ulm the car was a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle purchased a month ago that had just been through a “stringent inspection.” Jerry Ulm said the Jeep would not have passed their inspection and the work was not going to be covered under our Certified Pre-Owned Warranty. (In reviewing our Warranty, axles and wheel bearings are specifically covered under the Certified Pre-Owned Warranty). They are also supposed to be inspected prior to classifying a car as "Certified." We received the vehicle back on Friday, August 26. I immediately called Tracy Buczkowski to inform her of the Jeep’s mechanical issues. She assured me that the Pre-Owned Service Manager would call us back. Although the store is open all weekend, we wanted to give the benefit of the doubt when we didn’t receive a call back on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. But now it has been a week. I also sent an email to them on Tuesday, August 30. No response. I cannot believe that this is the way Ferman does business. More

If there were anything i would change about the Ferman dealership it would be two things: 1st, I would have liked to meet the owner of whom i purchased a vehicle from when i bought it…. 2nd, In the past every time i needed service, I'm left leaving a message and sometimes don't get a call back till the next day…. Ferman needs to step up there service dept. If this helps i will direct you to a chrysler dealer that has their act together in there service dept. (Dutchess Dodge in Poughkeepsie NY…. ) I have purchased 7 brand new Rams from Dutchess Dodge because of the service…. You are only as good as your service….. From the moment we stepped out of our vehicle we were greeted by Ken Levicky. Very personable and pleasant. We told him what we were looking for.
