Worst dealership in Pinellas county. Took them 3 months to not fix my Chevy. Tom M. Bill M.Shannon T. I sure hope they don’t claim to help Veterans! We took our car to the dealer because we wanted to rely on their expertise to accurately diagnose and fix something going on with our starting system. They diagnosed a battery replacement which cost me ~$3 on their expertise to accurately diagnose and fix something going on with our starting system. They diagnosed a battery replacement which cost me ~$300. They replaced it, but created another problem - the passenger air conditioning would only blow at 90 degrees. When I showed this problem to the service manager before I left the service center, he informed me I’d need to set up another appointment. I drove it home and pushed to get it back in the next morning. This repair cost me ~$500. Then a few weeks later, the original problem resurfaced. We took it back and they now replaced the starter. This repair cost another ~$800. If their technicians would have diagnosed and fixed the car the right way initially, it would have saved me a whole lot of money, time, and hassle! So they misdiagnosed the original problem, broke something else in that process, and then charged me for everything. I don’t know anyone who would be happy with that situation as a customer, not even the service manager. But he was completely unapologetic. More

Covid has turned the world upside down. But it wasn’t until I started shopping for a new car that I fully understood the complexities of change that have taken place in the automotive industry. As I begi until I started shopping for a new car that I fully understood the complexities of change that have taken place in the automotive industry. As I begin calling around for a new vehicle, I was repeatedly told by dealers across the state that cars were selling $10,000-$15,000 over MSRP. And I had a big problem with this as it seemed very much like price gouging to me. When I walked into Ferman Chevrolet of Tarpon, I was immediately told that they were selling their cars at MSRP. I was extremely skeptical. I was waiting for the other shoe to drop such as being forced to purchase five to $10,000 worth of additional accessories for my car from the dealership. My salesman VARGAS kept reassuring me that the price on the paper was what I would pay. Even on the day I went to pick up my car, I was waiting for the other side of the story. When I was finished signing the papers VARGAS smiled at me And said simply… I told you you could trust me. So, has Covid changed the world? In most ways you bet… it definitely has. But it has also clarified how valuable things like honor, integrity, honesty, and a willingness to go above and beyond for the customer really are. I know that Covid will one day not be a central part of our lives anymore. But I also know that Furman Chevrolet of Tampa will always be our family’s go to place to purchase a new Chevrolet. More
