HORRIBLE SALES PERSON: LIED ABOUT GREAT DEALS & WASTED TIME Our recent experience with this dealership & our sales person Eric goes down in my book as my worst experience EVER! I'm a regular consumer to buyin Our recent experience with this dealership & our sales person Eric goes down in my book as my worst experience EVER! I'm a regular consumer to buying cars & have NEVER experienced anything like this! Our sales person flat out lied & wasted our valuable family time! I will be sure to share my horrible experience with everyone & tell people not to waste their time going there to buy--SHOP ELSEWHERE! This is our story: On Wednesday of this week I received a random, out-of-the-blue phone call from our sales person asking if we were still in the market for a new minivan. I said yes. He said great because we have some awesome deals going on right now & asked when we could come in later that day. I let him know that we were very busy with our daughters afterschool schedule but would be there that evening at 7:30. About 15 minutes later I got another phone call from him saying that he needed my husbands info for a discount. I told him no problem, I'd get the information to him asap. He texted me his business card. He then precedes to text me and I quote, "Hi again, in the event that we come to an agreement tonight, which I'm confident of, can you please bring your title for your van?" I said no problem. We arrive at the dealership at 7:20 for our 7:30 scheduled appt time & of course our sales person is with another customer. Fine. No big deal. He greets us and sets us up to test drive the van. We leave & come back about 15-20 minutes later making it around 7:45. He is still with a customer. My family (my husband and three young children sit at a desk and wait). Drinks are offered. Fine, thank you. We wait...and wait...2 or 3 other sales people come to check on us not knowing if we're being helped. Ours is still busy. By the time our sales person gets to us it is now about 8:15. He asks if we are still looking for the same price as we were 3 months ago when we met. We said yes. He disappears with the paperwork to go & crunch numbers. We sit there for another 15-20 minutes waiting & waiting...it's now 8:30. After my husband checks in to see what is taking so long & informs our sales guy it's a school night, we need to get our kids fed & to bed, Eric returns 5 minutes later with the statement, "Well guys I have some bad news. The deals are worse this month then they were the last time you were here. I can't get you the price you need for a monthly payment. I'm sorry, I feel really bad. You see the problem is we don't have any 2015's left, only 2016's now.Tomorrow's a new month with new incentives. I'll keep looking and get in touch with you if something comes up." REALLY!?! You have the audacity to call me out of the blue & tell me how you have this great sale event going on & ask that I work you into my busy schedule on a school/dance night. We agree on a time to meet. You text me that you're sure we will come to an agreement tonight, so please bring your current vehicle title. I'm thinking AWESOME! We really want a new van! We arrive at 7:20 for a 7:30 appt time, & test drive the vehicle. We love it & are excited to "seal the deal" with a great price that he assured us we would get. We sit for over 30 minutes waiting (even after informing him we need to get going bc it's getting late). Only to find out 5 minutes later that there will be no sale. Again, SERIUOSLY?! I've worked with amazing sales people in my past and this guy was by far the worst! Thank you very much Eric for wasting my time and my families time! Thank you for making us waste gas, miss dinner and stay up past our girls bedtime on a school night! Thank you for getting us (including our girls) very excited about getting a new van. My response to him was simply, "Thank you for wasting my time tonight. I will NOT be returning again for any "great deals" in the future. Next time he can give me the numbers OVER THE PHONE!" (As if I would even do business with him in the future). If he truly felt so bad, a good sales person would have offered dinner or a gas card, something small for wasting our time and basically lying and giving false hope. He truly didn't care! If you value your time and don't want to get your hopes up BUYERS BEWARE! DON'T SHOP HERE! More
sold me an unsafe vehicle I purchased a used vehicle from this dealership. it had a bad ball joint and control arm and my mechanic said I'm lucky I made it home safely. well, I I purchased a used vehicle from this dealership. it had a bad ball joint and control arm and my mechanic said I'm lucky I made it home safely. well, I cannot exactly say "made it home" because it literally died on the side of the interstate 20 minutes from the dealership. My salesperson was initially wonderful but was rather disinterested in my $900 (and climbing) repair saga. once they have your money, they kind of want you to go away. More
Great experience in sales department I had a great experience over at Al Deeby. I had been looking for a 2003-2004 mustang GT for some time before I found the one that I purchased at Al's I had a great experience over at Al Deeby. I had been looking for a 2003-2004 mustang GT for some time before I found the one that I purchased at Al's. I wanted a manual v8 coupe. The only local mustangs were either v6 manual, v8 automatic, or they were v8 manual convertible. I contacted them through the Internet at first and was told that I'd be working with Ryan Ebert. At my request, Ryan sent me photos of the areas of the car that I was curious about via text message. He even went so far as to reply to my inquiries when he was off the clock. Once I got in contact with Ryan over the phone, I told him that since I lived so far away, (~2 hours) I wanted to negotiate the price before I took the trip to come look at it, because if I couldn't get the right price, there was no point in driving all that way. Before we even talked about money he went and made sure that the vehicle was still available, which I appreciated. We ended up agreeing on $500 more than what I offered which was fine with me. I also wanted to figure out financing before I came down. Ryan was very helpful in doing this. I had no credit and he was able to find options for me. Since I had no credit, my down payment would have had to have been higher than I wanted to pay. I decided to go with a cosigner which brought down the interest tremendously and also allowed me to put just $1,000 down. I went down to test drive the car and get it inspected. The car was in great condition which is what the dealership told me over the phone before I came down. There was only one repair needed. I told Ryan that he'd have to drop the price a bit since I'd have to repair the vehicle. He talked to his manager and instead of dropping the price they waived a $505 fee. The car also had engine modifications, some of which I was going to install anyway. Of course, I didn't tell Ryan that because it would have been harder to negotiate if he knew (sorry Ryan). While I was getting everything figured out with my cosigner, I was worried that the car could be sold before we were ready to sign. I offered to pay to reserve the vehicle. Ryan told me that I didn't have to worry about that and that the car was mine if I wanted it. He actually took the key and folder hostage at his desk so no one else could buy it. I appreciated this tremendously because most dealerships will sell a car right out from under you if someone else comes in and is ready to buy before you. That actually happened to me at another dealership days before. Within 2 days they delivered the car at no extra cost to me. I've only had it for a few days, but everything seems to be running well. I used to always think that if I bought a car I'd peel off the dealer sticker because I'm not about to advertise someone for free, but after this great experience I've decided to leave the sticker on. There were a few hard credit checks on my credit report, but that is normal. If you decide to buy from Al deeby's, ask for Ryan. Even if they set you up with another salesman, ask for Ryan. I'll update if something happens to the car. More
Fix It Right or Don't Touch My SUV Took our SUV in for expensive new plugs and fuel induction service they pushed for our 5.7 hemi recently. All of a sudden my gas mileage is ~5mpg les Took our SUV in for expensive new plugs and fuel induction service they pushed for our 5.7 hemi recently. All of a sudden my gas mileage is ~5mpg less than the day before I brought it in? In addition I question if they changed all my spark plugs since not even the dust on the rear engine coil caps have a single mark or finger print on them, in contrast to the ones more forward which have easily identifiable finger marks and bolt tool marks. I took it back to get it looked at a week later and now also to have my check engine light looked at. Dropped it off at 7:15am and told it should be ready in 3-4 hrs. They never even touched the truck until well in the late afternoon and that's only after I called them for status to pick up the SUV to find this out. Got a dopey "um yeeah, the tech was working on something else." By 4:00pm they never addressed the gas mileage issue [ie potentially botched fuel induction service per guy at counter who acted like its a normal occurrence and said when I dropped it off ' maybe they didn't all the carbon out like their supposed to...". Never addressed the check engine light and wanted me to bring it back next Monday. Lost the entire day for NOTHING! I called manager of service after because I was mad for being lied to about the 'it should be ready in 3-4 hours' they told me when I dropped it off. He was as ignorant and as evasive as he could have been and took no accountability, only made excuses. I asked to talk to someone more concerned about the well being of the dealerships reputation and he said he would have the general manager call me back within 5 minutes. Well he never called back [surprise, surprise] as I expected based on the slimy counter clerk and so called service manager's excuse based communication earlier. It appears this dealership tries to convince customers that its family owned and ' my daddy would be so proud of me" bull they keep replaying on the phone while you wait for someone to answer, this so you think you are going to a nice and reliable hometown dealership for purchase or service you can trust; well its not. I was lied to and got shotty service the first time and no service the second time, ignorant excuses and after loosing a whole day I'm of conclusion they are not worthy of doing business in our community. DO NOT BUY HERE DO NOT purchase a vehicle for these guys they are liars and swindlers. if you have problems with your vehicle after the sale they will not help you th DO NOT purchase a vehicle for these guys they are liars and swindlers. if you have problems with your vehicle after the sale they will not help you they will transfer you to a different person each time you call and if you want to talk with the general manager/owner he won't talk to you. All they are worried about is getting your money and getting you out the door.I bought a used truck and three days later the motor has gone to xxxx at no fault of my own. It still had all of its fluids and I never got over 2k rpm and they refuse to help with the situation. If you don't listen to my warning prepare yourself for a major let down and spending more money. I'm gonna have to spend $3000 to fix my truck now don't let this happen to you. Listen to all the bad reviews they are true and are happening more than the good ones. There are many other local honest dealers go to them More
Run around… LITERALLY!!! Man oh man! So I find an SUV ad on the internet and email for inquiries. In the mean time I checked out reviews for this dealership. Some people com Man oh man! So I find an SUV ad on the internet and email for inquiries. In the mean time I checked out reviews for this dealership. Some people complained about the service area but sales reviews were ok. So I call ahead to make sure the vehicle had the specifics I wanted because I'd be driving 40 minutes away to look at it. . The voice on the other end (Blake Moore aka Michael V Moore) hardly wanted to tell me about the vehicle I was inquiring about because he had one he wanted to see that cost more. When I got there he had a gentleman come up to me for "registration" for the "vip pricing/sale". Registering would mean we can take advertisement/banks dollars towards the vehicle I wanted to purchase to make it cheaper. After registration he walked around the dealership pretending he couldn't find the keys for the vehicle and said the higher priced car was being cleaned. Luckily, I can read people so I pretty much knew he was stalling for some reason. Maybe for me to say forget it, show me the more expensive car but nope, I waited. He finally took the keys out his pocket (j/k) and showed me the vehicle for $7500. I asked what was wrong with it and he said, "NOTHING" then went on with some spiel about how they can't sell it unless it pass inspection… blah blah blah. Took the car for a test drive and it was humming, meaning, and rattling. Told him I didn't like it so he had us wait for the other. He slipped up and said that the person who was bringing it lived 20 minutes away then said it was coming from another office. Uhhhh, I thought it was being cleaned, dude? So, it didn't have any of the features I wanted but he geeked me up to like it so I was willing to buy it because he told me it was just a couple hundred dollars over my budget. Car drove good but then he changed the price on me.. It went from $8,000 to $15,000! He then tried to get me to finance it and when I said I didn't want a note and insurance he told me to cancel the insurance policy! Uhhh, thats illegal buddy! I was actually gonna pay what he wanted (because I had the CASH) but because honesty means EVERYTHING to me I decided not to because this dude spent the entire day LYING to me…. Lol! Well, guess what, Blake? I like to pretend to.. Pretend to be some dumb customer who believes EVERYTHING you say because your manager's gonna honor the price on the internet TODAY but once I walk out the door its going up to $15,000 because someone made a mistake". Ha! Buh bye! He even urged me to check the price on the net later to make sure it went up. I've been checking all day and its still $9,995! Lol! Good job Mike! Oops! I mean Blake! ?? More
