Dropped my truck off on 12/12 first thing in the morning for a check engine light and received a call around 4pm that my truck needed a new turbo, at the time they told me the part was in Lansing and would for a check engine light and received a call around 4pm that my truck needed a new turbo, at the time they told me the part was in Lansing and would be here by the end of the week. After expecting a call with an update on Friday 12/16 and not hearing anything I called the dealership for an update on Monday 12/19. When I called the service advisor had no idea on the status and asked if he could call me back with an update, 45 min later I got a call saying they were still waiting on the parts, I asked for them to give me a call the following day with an update, near the end of the day with no call from them I called back. This time the advisor let me know the parts had actually shown up the day before and that he expected the truck to be done on Wednesday if not that evening. I asked again for them to let me know either way as I was in the process of selling the truck when this issue happened and wanted to schedule a new time for the buyer to pick it up. As I expected I did not get an update or call from the dealership on Wednesday so I called again, this time he said the technician was still having an issue removing the turbo from the truck and said he did not know when it would be done. I again asked to be updated the following day, after again hearing nothing all day on Thursday I called and the the advisor said it would probably be done in 2 hours but could not promise anything, I asked to be updated by the end of the day either way. This time I got a call back that the truck was now finished and ready to be picked up. Friday morning I arrived at the dealership to pick up the truck, when it was pulled up the advisor handed me the keys and walked away. I got in the truck and it smelled terribly of exhaust, not sure how the advisor consensually handed me the keys with the truck in this condition as there was clearly an exhaust leak from the turbo installation. With the buyer (another dealer) showing up to purchase the truck in an hour and not wanting to deal with this dealership again I drove the truck to meet the buyer and explained the situation to them. Overall some of the worst levels of communication with a customer I have ever experienced along with the poor service on the turbo change. I was also without a truck for 2 weeks with no loaner offered. I will not be back to this dealership for anything in the future. More
