It is my second Soul so the review isn’t of the vehicle but of the young man, Brent Marburger, along with Federico Kia in WoodRiver IL. who initiated my purchase/lease. It is rare to encounter people who are in the business not only to make money but to see that all areas of sales and service are beneficial to the buyer. Brent Marburger has managed my sales on several vehicles along with multiple members of my family. His service is constant and appreciated. I just wanted to let you know how well he represents the Kia Brand but the asset he is to Federico Kia. I just felt his dedication to his job needed to be commended. Federico Kia NO STAR REVIEW Long time customer of Federico dealership. Bought 4 new cars over the last 25+ years from them. 2016 Kia Sorento purchased new. I was given an extended warranty with th Federico dealership. Bought 4 new cars over the last 25+ years from them. 2016 Kia Sorento purchased new. I was given an extended warranty with the purchase that doubled the factory warranty. This vehicle is part of a class action lawsuit on the engine that Hyundai/Kia settled. Engine lets go while driving down the interstate out of the blue. No prior warnings, no engine codes, no performance issues, etc... Test performed by dealer shows no compression on cylinder 4. Warranty company requires tear down to find issue and customer has to cover the cost if warranty claim is denied. Quote is $2,196 but not much choice in the matter. Warranty claim is denied due to "wear and tear" on the piston ring due to carbon. I argue with Kia Corp and warranty company that there were no prior signs of impending engine failure (no burning oil that I noticed, no misfires, no performance issues, etc...). Told dealership to get me a detailed report of work done and findings. All I get back is a quote to fix it to the tune of $9800. NO THANKS. Told dealership I would have it towed off their lot. Was told total cost for work that had been done was $2196 and then 15 minutes later was told it would be $4400 because they had to put it back together. NO... Once the service manager was involved I was told they could fix it all for somewhere around $6000. So it went from $2200 to $4400 to $9800 to $6000. At this point I'm told the factory installed turbocharger is also bad and that it caused a check engine light at the exact same time as the low compression code. To say that I lost all faith and respect in a company is an understatement. Car towed off lot yesterday. I'll have the engine replaced by a reputable shop. Federico and Kia do NOT stand by the products they sell. More

My husband bought a vehicle from Federico Kia in woodriver in January of 2021 and vehicle had 59000 miles on it. I purchased extended warranty with the truck and had to use it a few times. Well we fast forward to Oct-Nov of this year and the truck needs Catalytic converter assembly installed. That does not fall under the extended warranty but it did fall under emissions warranty(8 year or 80000 miles. They said he would have to take the truck to a GM dealer for them to perform the repairs. He took truck into GM dealer and they ordered the part and they went to install and they inform him the truck is missing rear catalytic converter ( wondering when he bought the truck it was louder than usual but figured it had an aftermarket muffler). GM dealer says there is a 400 dollar core charge on the back cat that the truck is missing. The only way they can replace the bad cat is the whole assembly which is 3 catalytic converters and the truck only has 2. Now gm dealer says he would need to come out of pocket 400 bucks to cover the core charge. He then reached out to Federico Kia with no help at all and they made it seem like he had cut the rear cat off. He was informed that the truck passed all inspections including an emission inspection.... weird because the truck was missing the rear cat. How does a vehicle pass an inspection and its missing an item? We have bought 2 vehicles from them in the past 2-3 years and will not buy another from them. Also he has an oil change package with them that he will not be using anymore. We are very disappointed with them not at least trying to offer any help at all. More
Bad experience overall, the car is fine but the customer service is horrible. Dalton and Devin were both arrogant and rude. I would not recommend this place. When requesting an update on the GAP coverage refund, Devin talked to me as if I were an idiot. Roderick, our sales rep, was the only highlight of this entire process. He went above and beyond to make things right. The 1 star is for Federico Kia as a whole. More
Bought a used jeep from store!! Day time running light was out!! Took it in they changed bulb but didn’t fix it. Took it back they changed bulb again and charged me!! It didn’t fix it!! But they charged me again!!! Go somewhere else to get a vehicle somewhere where they’ll stand behind what they sold!! I’ve only had the vehicle 4-5 months!! More
Buying a car (2013 Chevy Cruze) from Federico Kia has been the worst experience I have ever had in buying a car. I understand I bought a used car with 130,000 miles on it. But I also understand that I sp been the worst experience I have ever had in buying a car. I understand I bought a used car with 130,000 miles on it. But I also understand that I spent $9,000 of my hard earned money at a supposedly reputable dealership. From day one I have had issues with the car, but keep getting told there is nothing wrong with it. Just because there are no check engines lights popping up doesn't mean the car doesn't have issues. I firmly believe someone knows what is wrong with it, but doesn't want to fix it. The car was supposed to be for my wife that is a Registered Nurse in Jerseyville. However, she hasn't been able to drive it because of the various issues. So I have to rush home from work in the afternoon, so she can drive it to work midnights. So being down to one car has caused a huge inconvenience. The cars issues range from sluggish shifting between 35-45 mph, a click sound that results in a big puff of smoke out the tailpipe, to losing oil but not on the ground. However, my wife and I have repeated told a Courtney, Daulton, and then a Danielle to no avail. This situation has caused a lot of needless stress and inconvenience. More
