Careless sales Salesman asked me what I would accept as an offer to buy car. My terms were stated as $223 per month at 72 months payout. After 2 consultations with Salesman asked me what I would accept as an offer to buy car. My terms were stated as $223 per month at 72 months payout. After 2 consultations with his boss he came back and said no more than $250 per month at 72 month payout. I agreed and went to finance. Finance manager said payment would be approximately $260 per month. I explained salesman said payment would be $250 per month. She managed to set payment at approximately $256 per month and I agreed. We started signing numerous papers and finally got to contract and discovered payout time was 84 months. I said deal was off because salesman assured us payout was for 72 months. Finance manager consulted sales and came back and told my wife and me that she would work to resolve problem following day. The next day the finance manager worked hard and managed to bring payment to approximately $260 per month at 75 months and the additional adding of maintenance contract bring payment to $287 per month at 75 months. The feeling I got from sales was that they were trying to manipulate us into buying a car at their terms and not terms I agreed with to salesman. This was the first time in my life buying cars that this has ever happened. I do not always come to terms with a dealer but I tell them my terms and they tell me theirs. We each have the right to say yes or no but at least it is an honest business agreement and not based on deceit. The finance manager is the only one at your dealership that I met that I felt was honestly trying to help my wife and me receive the terms we agreed on. She would be the only reason I would possibly buy a new car from dealership in future. More
