We appreciated the fact that he was respectful of our price range, and we were pleased with both the trade-in value given on our old car and the total price of the newer used car we purchased. Faulkner's body shop took care of some scratches on the bumpers that bothered us. We give Brian, who took care of all the financial details, a two thumbs up, as well! Michael was honest with us and treated us like family, thus making us feel happy about our overall experience. We would definitely recommend this dealership to others looking for a new or used car. After much discussion with Jesse I decided to sell my car instead of trade it in on a new one. I spent a great deal of time talking with Jesse as we were waiting to test drive and he was very friendly and ap instead of trade it in on a new one. We ended up setting a day for me to come in and talk to Eric who is the Pre-Owned Manager so that he could check out my car and make me an offer. I arrived that day and spoke with Eric. He was very nice and pleasant. Eric and I walked around the car and checked it out. I answered his questions about the car. He asked how much I was looking to get from the car. After answering and him checking around for comparable values he said that he would be able to offer me very close to what I was looking for. I was happy with that. He said that he had to call the sales manager just to confirm that was fine. He was unable to get ahold of the manager so he thanked me for coming in and said that he personally would call me either that evening or the next morning to confirm the offer. I went home quite satisfied with the service. I called my mom who was looking into CX-9s and told her of my good experience. I received a voicemail the next morning from Eric asking me to call him back. I called him back about an hour later. As we were talking I noticed that he had a noticeably different attitude. He was rude and pushy to me. He proceeded to tell me that he would offer me $3,000 less than the number that he and I were discussing (this being almost 20% less than what we had talked about). He then brought up an number of excuses such as "well, the weather is getting colder and people aren't buying as many cars, these cars are rare and I really don't like this car so much". None of these topics were discussed by Eric with me when I sat down with them. I was quite confused because in our earlier conversations he had actually complimented me on the car and how he liked it and they would be "able to sell that car all day long in that condition". Needless to say, these dealership antics left a sour taste in my mouth. I would not recommend Faulkner to anyone. I called my mom again and she purchased her fully loaded CX-9 from another local dealership. She will be posting a very positive review up shortly. More
