Even though This review is specifically for Sam and Israel. After shopping around, I decided to give my business to Farrish Subaru for a 2017 WRX. Even though I paid slightly more - it meant I got to stick with quality service and supporting a business that will earn your respect through straight talk, quality customer service, and clear pricing. If you want a good deal and no hard selling or gimmicks, this is the dealer and the guys to speak to. Most sales agents and managers change attitudes really quickly after the sale, usually exposing the gimmicks and fake smiles. However, even after the sale, Sam and Israel both have been so easy to get in touch with and beyond accommodating, they even gave me an opportunity to get a quick stick shift lesson in since it has been years. Israel was very professional, knowledgeable and extremely efficient which I especially appreciated. A few years ago I spent over 8 hrs at a ford dealership so I was braced for the worst. But I was in and out ina very quick manner with no dawdling but Israel also would have spent as much time as I needed. He gave extremely good customer service. Israel worked hard to give me a good deal and I am Very happy with my purchase. I highly recommend Farris and especially Israel. It was an actual pleasure! Thanks Israel! More
Poor communication, ill-informed employees, unprofessional Bought my new Subaru Outback from this dealership. Got lowballed on my trade-in and, when going through the add-on process of protective services (dent/ding wizard, tire protection, etc...) either the person selling the services didn't understand them or I was completely lied to so now I am paying for a dent wizard service that has so many caveats to actually using the service that almost nothing qualifies for repair. I found the dealership very unresponsive to me once I purchased the car. I sent emails to the service center that went unanswered. Utterly disappointed in both the sales and service side of Farrish Subaru and regret buying my car here. I love the car itself but that has nothing to do with them. More
Remnants of slimy car dealers from another era. I had a very mixed experience at this dealer. It started out good with Chris Wolf but was tainted by two factors: the finance process and the trade in I had a very mixed experience at this dealer. It started out good with Chris Wolf but was tainted by two factors: the finance process and the trade in process. I learned that the dealer presented KBB data incorrectly to me which didn't include all of the options of my trade-in. Sam Ramadan conceded later that the KBB value presented to me was incorrect, but it wouldn't have changed the outcome. Also, the finance person incorrectly applied a higher interest rate, which I questioned but was told I was wrong about. A day later, after presenting more information from various car sites, my rate was corrected. They said that the finance person wasn't aware of revised rates from Subaru, which is hard to believe, since the finance rate had been available for three weeks already. The dealer applies pressure to give them 10's in Subaru surveys. Rather they should focus on creating an excellent customer experience where they shouldn't have to ask for a certain rating. I gave the dealer a chance to act with integrity but never received any other follow up from their general manager. I will be filing a BBB report, just to make sure this isn't reflective of a pattern of poor business practices. More

Contacted by Rey with counter offer for 2017 WRX STI, went in to do paperwork on 22MAY. This dealership charges charges a "legally allowed" dealer processing fee of $599. They have a sign hung up behind every sales persons desk citing the VA code that lets them do this. When I asked what it actually covered, they didn't really have a hard answer. Their trade in offer for my 2013 BRZ was $14227k which at the time was good enough. They wanted to charge a $500 non-refundable deposit which I was not OK with.. Eventually they said that my deposit that important to them so if the car still wasn't here by July they would return my deposit. When speaking to Sam in their finance department and filling out a mock buyers order these were the fees I encountered: Processing Fee VA Taxes Dealers Business License Tax License Fee The license fee included a $200 processing fee (Dealer processing fee doesn't cover this processing fee, lol.) plus whatever the cost was to register in VA is all I can assume. I told them that I would take care of registration since I was going to do it for Utah. So VA Taxes, and license fee were going to be N/A’d. Sam spoke some empty words to Rey about contacting me with status updates on a daily basis. The next time I was contacted by anyone at Farrish Subaru was on June 3rd when the car arrived. I rushed that day to get everything else setup. I dropped by CarMax for a sanity check. They offered up to $16k depending on which wheels I had installed. I asked Rey if Farrish Subaru would match and he told them they were all in at the previous price. I elected to go with CarMax and made arrangements to sell the car and get a ride from a friend to Farrish Subaru. On 04JUN Rey contacted me and upped the offer to $15k, which missed the CarMax offer by $1k still. Following work on 09JUN I swung by to get a look at the car to make sure everything was good before I came in Friday to give them the cash for it. Another manager ( I forgot his name there was confused why I wasn't doing the trade in with them and did a forced override to 16k if I gave them both sets of wheels for the car (I should have stuck with CarMax since they only wanted the OEM wheels with winters for $16k, hindsight being 20/20 They basically gave me $1k for $2k summer wheels). Since it seemed close enough to what CarMax offered I went with the trade-in. Their system is ill equipped to handle someone has a mailing address and a situs address. I told them that I need the Certificate of Origin (CO) and the Buyers Order (BO) in Maryland so that I could submit all the paperwork together to Utah. I made this very clear to Rey, Sam, Wolf, Matt, and at least two others. I called on 20 June to find out where the CO and BO were as time was running out. I re-explained that I wanted to pick them up so all my paperwork could be put into one package and Matt assured me that as soon as it came in they would let me know. On 25JUN my family in Utah called to let me know that my CO and BO had arrived. My family had to pay for the pleasure of mailing the paperwork back to me so that I could turn around and mail it all to Utah again. I spoke with Matt again on 26JUN and basically got an "oops" response about the CO. I asked about getting my own copy of the BO (for my records, separate from the one sent to the DMV) and Matt said that my house was too far away to deliver it so he would get permission to mail a copy and call me back on 27JUN to let me know if/when they could do it. It's the 28th of June as of this post and still no call back, still no copy of BO, temp plates expire on 9JUL and it looks like I'll have a car that I can't drive. In a few years when dealerships are going under like many antiquated businesses Farrish Subaru can look back at this post when they are asking why. More

I had neither the time nor the emotional stamina to shop around. I knew from my previous experience that Farrish would be fair in terms of pricing and although the sales person with whom I dealt before was no longer there, I felt confident I would be well cared for. And I was. Jackie took excellent care of me and I walked out of the dealership that afternoon with a new and beautiful Forester. Bottom line, cannot recommend Farrish Subaru highly enough. Sales or service -- they exceed my expectations. More

We test drove an Outback with him and he talked through and demonstrated all the features but without being pushy or pressuring. We got to take our time looking at different exteriors and interiors. A week later when we returned, he again was helpful but not pushy, which seems to me quite unique for a car dealership. We were content with the price we got and he walked us through all the paperwork, owner's manual, trial Sirius XM etc. Very thorough and friendly. Recommend! More

Rey is that perfect blend of knowledgeable, considerate and professional. I drove 20 miles (passing 3 other dealerships) to work with Rey, because Rey had the passion and enthusiasm to get me the Cross Trek I wanted at the best price possible. It was a first class experience, from a first class dealership. More
