I am formally express my deep dissatisfaction and disappointment regarding the treatment my husband and I received during our recent visit to Farrish Jeep Dealership in Fairfax, VA. My experience wit disappointment regarding the treatment my husband and I received during our recent visit to Farrish Jeep Dealership in Fairfax, VA. My experience with both the salesman, Fefe, and the manager was deeply troubling and left me questioning the integrity of the dealership. As a customer who drove over 2.5 hours to visit your dealership, I expected a certain level of professionalism, respect, and transparency, none of which I felt was afforded to me during my visit. To provide context, I had been in communication with a salesman named Fefe prior to my visit. I was interested in a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, and during our phone conversation, Fefe assured me that the vehicle came with a hard top and that the soft top was being offered as a gift. This was a major selling point for me, and I took him at his word. However, upon arriving at the dealership and inquiring about the hard top, Fefe immediately contradicted what he had told me on the phone. He insisted that the Jeep only came with a soft top and that I must have spoken to his manager, not him. Fefe then went inside and brought out the manager. This initial inconsistency set a tone of mistrust for the entire visit. I was left feeling as though the dealership was not being forthcoming with information, and that set the stage for the rest of my experience. When I asked about the hard top, I was essentially brushed off. As a customer who had taken the time to travel and was seriously considering making a purchase, this level of dismissal was concerning. Furthermore, when I examined the vehicle, I opened the hood and noticed that the skid plate was missing. For a vehicle like a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, which is marketed for its off-road capabilities, the presence of a skid plate is crucial. It protects essential components of the vehicle from damage during off-road driving. When I inquired about the missing skid plate, the manager quickly interrupted me and insisted that “no Jeep Wranglers come with skid plates.” This was both condescending and inaccurate. Most Jeep Wranglers, especially Rubicons, do come with skid plates to protect the undercarriage from off-road hazards. Even though the manager claimed that skid plates are not standard, he could have offered to add one or at least explained what the dealership could do to rectify the issue. Through my own research, I discovered that the “skid plate” that comes standard on a Jeep Wrangler JK is actually a plastic cover that helps with aerodynamics, not the robust protection I had assumed it would have. Regardless, I should not have had to do my own research to find this information. The manager could have easily informed me about this detail, but he chose not to. As the conversation progressed, I requested a test drive of the vehicle, which I feel is a basic and reasonable request when considering the purchase of any vehicle, especially one as specialized as a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. However, instead of accommodating my request, the manager questioned whether I was planning to buy the vehicle if the skid plate was not added. I found this question inappropriate and premature. At that point, I had not even driven the vehicle, and yet the manager was trying to gauge my commitment to buying. I made it clear that I wanted to talk numbers after I had the chance to test drive the Jeep, but the manager refused to allow me the opportunity to test drive it. This decision was both puzzling and frustrating, as it felt like I was being denied a fundamental part of the car-buying process. The refusal to let me test drive the vehicle made me feel bullied and undervalued as a customer. A test drive is essential for making an informed decision about whether to buy a vehicle. By denying me this opportunity, the dealership not only lost the potential for a sale but also made me feel disrespected. Whether or not I was ready to buy on the spot should not More
