The maintenance service went well. Originally, it was to replace rear brake pads. Then was told there was a problem with one of the rear wheel bearings. Agreed to have it replaced. I was surprised that for a one hour service, the labor cost was $479.99, in contrast for the same length of time for the brake pads, it was $189.00. An explanation would be helpful. More
Really disappointed in this place. We drove to Greenville to buy a car from Carmax. We decided to explore another option and check this dealership. They had they perfect car and we were very excited about buying it. We signed the paperwork, put our deposit down, and told them we already had outside financing secured. We had a co-signer and provided all the information about the financing and who it was with. The sales manager even came it at the last minute and tried to see if he could convince us to switch to financing in house. We had already been through the painful process of securing and finalizing the outside financing at a good rate, so declined in house financing. We had arranged to drive back to Greenville 3 days later to pick up the car from Atlanta. The day after we put our deposit down they said they needed the co-signer to arrive in person to sign. She lives in Florida and works, so that couldn't happen. Then they said they could overnight the documents, which wouldn't get back soon enough for us to go down on Saturday. Then we asked if they could fax the document, co-signer could sign it, then overnight it back so it would have a wet signature. They said that wouldn't work. Then I said I guess our only option is to find a way to get the co-signer there in person. Then they completely changed their tune and said they no longer accept outside financing and we could only do it in house. They just changed the policy 30 days ago. We provided all the documentation and situation up front and they changed their story three times as to what's acceptable. We were extremely disappointed our sales person for not better preparing us and the GM. It basically felt like they didn't want to go out of their way to provide customer service and just told us to buzz off when things got mildly challenging. Must be nice to have a hot car market where you can tell customers to go pound sand when a situation isn't absolutely perfect for you. It wasn't perfect for us either. In fact, it's been one challenge after another and we thought it was finally done. More
