I went to buy a new crew cab f150 there. I took my very clean gmc 3/4 to trade. It booked for $6,700 trade in on nada. It is a very very clean truck thats needed nothing. They offered me $1,000 for it. Wha clean gmc 3/4 to trade. It booked for $6,700 trade in on nada. It is a very very clean truck thats needed nothing. They offered me $1,000 for it. What a total waist of time and gas. The only reason they offer good deals is because they try to give you peanuts for your trade. When it comes down to it they are no better on price than any one else if your trading something in. Take it from me dont waist your time. More
I test drove a used 2003 Mercury on Fairway Ford's lot and noticed a noise in the front end. I told the salesman, Jeff Stockman, that I was concerned that this could be the rack and pinion. He said he wou and noticed a noise in the front end. I told the salesman, Jeff Stockman, that I was concerned that this could be the rack and pinion. He said he would have a service technician check it out the next morning. I spoke with him the next morning and he said that the tech determined that it was a $50 tie rod end not the $450 rack and pinion assembly. Based on that, we made a deal and I took delivery of the car that day. A couple of days later I went to replace the tie rod end, only to find that the tie rod end was fine and the problem IS a bad rack and pinion unit! The salesman had no problem lying about this prior to the sale to bait and switch me into buying the car. When I called to ask him if they would help me out since they gave me bad information, he refused to do anything. In fact, he and his sales manager continued to lie! In addition to the fact that they lied about the rack and pinion, they also added a $250 documentation fee to the price of the car and told me that it was a state mandated fee. This is also a lie. I paid it because I didn't know I had a choice, but after researching this I have learned that the state does NOT mandate this fee. The state LIMITS what a dealer can charge, and Fairway Ford charges the maximum fee! This is pure hidden profit for the dealership! Add to all of this that they covered up problems with the car's air conditioning, and that it took 1-1/2 hours for them to complete the paperwork, and I will warn everyone I know to avoid Paul Hrnchar's Fairway Ford!
