On 9/19 I inquired about a 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid (VIN#1GNSCDFJ6BR163734) that was advertised AS NEW on the Fairway Chevrolet website. On 9/20 Jeramie Simpson contacted me about my interest in the (VIN#1GNSCDFJ6BR163734) that was advertised AS NEW on the Fairway Chevrolet website. On 9/20 Jeramie Simpson contacted me about my interest in the purchase of this vehicle. On 9/21 I was contacted by Anne Sostman, who provided a RETAIL BUYER'S ORDER for the vehicle showing that the car was "NEW" and had a mileage of "12." On 9/22 I agreed to purchase the vehicle and provided a $1,000 credit card deposit to hold the vehicle. At this time, Ms Sostman asked me to provide my GM Card information to determine how much rewards value I could apply to this vehicle purchase. On 9/24 Mr. Simpson confirmed that the vehicle would be ready for delivery on 10/01 and that we could complete the deal at the agreed upon price. On 9/24 I made non-refundable, one-way travel and lodging plans at a cost of $177.07. On 9/30, Ms Sostman contacted me via phone and informed me that because of this particular vehicle’s use as a “SHOW/BARRETT-JACKSON DEMO” vehicle, the GM Card earnings could not be applied to the purchase price of the vehicle. During this phone conversation, I asked Ms Sostman to confirm the mileage of the vehicle as “12” and its status as a “NEW” vehicle. She assured me that this vehicle did have only “12” miles and was a “NEW” vehicle. On 10/1, I arrived at Fairway Chevrolet to inspect the vehicle and complete paperwork on the deal. Upon entering the vehicle, the driver’s seat had considerable wear and the odometer read “819 MILES.” In response to my questioning this, Ms Sostman stated, “according to her system, the vehicle only had 12 miles.” I requested an additional discount or some other consideration in response to this misrepresentation, but was denied anything beyond the promise of a $100 gift card to be mailed at a future date. While upset at this misrepresentation and suspicious about the car’s status as “NEW,” I continued into the finance office where Howard Kane informed us that, according to General Motors, the NEW CAR WARRANTY on this vehicle had already begun in SEPTEMBER 2010, at a mileage of 0. Mr. Kane further explained that while the vehicle we were buying was “NEW,” the warranty was already over A YEAR AND 819 MILES EXPIRED and that our limited term, limited mileage new car warranty would NOT start on the date and mileage we were purchasing our “NEW” car. At this point I exited the dealership and discontinued progress on the delivery paperwork. Our initial $1,000 deposit was refunded back to our credit card. I was forced to locate a rental car and drive back to Los Angeles at a cost of $151.37. Fairway Chevrolet represented a USED/DEMO/SHOW CAR as a NEW CAR throughout my buying process. - GM Card rewards, valid on all regularly titled new GM vehicles, were not available. While we were encouraged by Ms Sostman to provide our GM Card information on 9/22, we were not told they would not be valid until 9/30, after our travel was booked. - The mileage of the vehicle was represented as “12” throughout the buying process, the online advertisement of the vehicle, and the RETAIL BUYER’S ORDER. When we arrived at the dealership, the mileage was 819. - The NEW CAR WARRANTY, which typically goes into effect upon purchase of the vehicle, was already 819 miles and OVER A YEAR expired on this particular vehicle. While I cannot put a dollar figure on the amount of time, stress, and frustration Fairway Chevrolet, Anne Sostman, and Jeramie Simpson put me through this past weekend, I have verifiable expenses totaling $328.44 that I feel Fairway Chevrolet should compensate me for. I also hope that, in the future, the dealership does a better job of disclosing ALL information about their vehicle in an upfront and honorable fashion, especially when dealing with customers from out of town. I am totally impressed with the service I received when my "mature" motor home needed a broken sway bar bracket repaired. When one is on the road and living in the rig, getting it repaired promptly is ver my "mature" motor home needed a broken sway bar bracket repaired. When one is on the road and living in the rig, getting it repaired promptly is very important. When it was found that the part would not be available for several days, the tech welded the broken part and re-installed it. We were in and out in about 2 hours. Many dealerships will not even look at motor homes, never mind treat out of area customers with the efficiency and promptness which we received. Thanks Fairway and Kenneth. More
Honesty and integrity, two adjectives not commonly used when describing auto dealerships; however, both apply to Fairway Chevrolet and Service Advisor Chris Boutte. Under the assumption that my 2005 Monte when describing auto dealerships; however, both apply to Fairway Chevrolet and Service Advisor Chris Boutte. Under the assumption that my 2005 Monte Carlo SS was due for Dura Major service (the heater also needed repair), I called to make the service appointment and was transferred to Chris. After he pulled up the vehicle history, he happily advised me that he would be saving me approximately $435 since the Dura Major service was performed during my last visit. Chris could very easily have written up a work order for the heater problem and the Dura Major service. HONESTY AND INTEGRITY. Chris was friendly and informative when I dropped off the car and called me later in the day to advise me concerning the necessary work (and cost) that needed to be performed regarding the heater problem. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to seeing your new facility. Thank you Chris and Fairway Chevrolet. More

I have a Chevy dealer 5 miles from my home, but I drive all the way across town when my Equinox needs service because I know that I will receive the best possible service from Lisa. She takes the time to ge all the way across town when my Equinox needs service because I know that I will receive the best possible service from Lisa. She takes the time to get to know her customers and understands that they have things going on in their lives that are important. For instance, a few weeks ago, I was preparing for a long planned trip to San Diego and on the day I was to leave a warning light came on in my vehicle telling me that my driver side air bag was not working. I called Lisa, told her what happened and explained that I had to leave town by 5 p.m. She had me bring my vehicle to the shop and expedited the service to get everything back in working order. When the service was completed, she gave me my keys and sent me on my way (knowing I was in a crush for time). She explained to me that she would send my paperwork to me via mail as it was going to take a little while to complete. This is just one WOW experience I have received from her. It would be wonderful if the world were full of people like Lisa who knows how to deliver this kind of customer service. She is definately an asset to your company and keeps customer like me coming back!!! More
