So disappointed and embarrassed 'm still dealing with Fairway at this moment and really unsure how I feel about this whole situation. I went in last Thursday with the hopes of tradin 'm still dealing with Fairway at this moment and really unsure how I feel about this whole situation. I went in last Thursday with the hopes of trading my old car in for another used car. When I told Damian (salesperson) that I was upside down in my current loan he recommended a new car to take the negative equity. At that moment I got a little excited. What better than a car? A new car!!! So we did all the paperwork and we made a deal. Also, I have to remind you this is during the day when banks are open. Also, they were not busy so there's no reason for them to not take all the steps. After Damian went back and forth to the manager we can to an agreement and the car was "sold". I later met with the finance department, got my contract written up, and I was out the door. Advised at the time everything was done. The next day I get a call saying they need a document from my student loan company stating that I'm not paying any loans right now since I'm in school. Okay, fine! I sent it over and was told my Damian everything was fine and I shouldn't worry. I was going to be all taken care of. So now I'm out showing everyone my car and praising how excited I am and how great Fairway is. Well then on Monday I get another call saying that I need a co-signer. Apparently, my credit is fine the bank is just worried about my student loans. So now I'm sitting her waiting to hear back. I was once again told my Damian that everything is fine and our finance department is making sure everything is fine. So don't worry. At this point I have now been crying all day because I'm so disappointed with how I am being treated. I have been showing off my new car and now I have to tell everyone my financing has fallen through. This is basically the worst thing that could happen. I am just so disappointed. I really wish I would have read more reviews before I ever stepped foot in this place. Since I have worked with different law offices in the past I am now going to speak with one of them about what has happened and my rights seeing as how I have a contract that they should have to adhere to. This is bad business and shouldn't be done to any person. I am going to have to agree with most of these reviews. PLEASE I BEG YOU RUN FOR THE HILLS. I am still going to try and work things out with them, but I really have little faith. So to make sure you don't have to deal with this stay away. Because apparently having something in writing doesn't mean very much to them. Please don't take the chance of ending up like me and having to deal with this unneeded stress. More

Deceitful and poor business practices This is by far the worst dealership we've ever dealt with. We live out of state and found a vehicle at this dealership that we'd been searching for. This is by far the worst dealership we've ever dealt with. We live out of state and found a vehicle at this dealership that we'd been searching for. After days of negotiating, the salesman called us and we settled on a deal. The salesman's exact words were, "sold." We then spoke with the Finance Department who took information to work up the Purchase Agreement. In the meantime we had purchased flights and a hotel so that we could come pick up the vehicle. A few hours later the salesman called back and said they couldn't sell us the vehicle for that price anymore. That was the last we heard from him until today when my fiance called him for an explanation and he hung up on my fiance. I emailed the General Manager Peter Reele, and Peter's response was, "I apologize we could not come to a deal, but Out of State deals with no tax are subject to approval by upper management. After reviewing the deal, we decided your deal did not fit our business plan." So the business couldn't have been upfront with us about their "business plan?" Both the salesman and the finance department knew we were making travel arrangements yet said nothing to us. This dealership made an agreement with us and broke it. This is poor business practice. I would caution anyone wanting to do business with this dealership. They lied to us and caused us financial loss. And did absolutely nothing to resolve the situation. More

I arrived at fairway chevrolet at 7:00A.M. my scheduled appointment time. I asked to speak with the tech that would be working on my truck and the service manager, very rudely informed me that I was not al appointment time. I asked to speak with the tech that would be working on my truck and the service manager, very rudely informed me that I was not allowed to speak with the tech/mech, and that there would not be a tech/mech available to look at my truck until after 8:00A.M. even possibly two or three hours later then my schedued appointment time. Why bother making a 7:00A.M. appointment when no one is there till 8;00A.M. The main problem was that the service writer did not have the correct or complete information about what was wrong with my truck, nor could he understand the issue I was having, therfore the need for me to speak directly with the tech/mech that would be looking at my truck. The servive manager," Martin Gonzalez," answer to this problem was ,"Oh they'll figure it out." It is alot harder and more expencive to try and figure out what is wrong when the tech/mech doesn't even know where to start. After being sprayed with diesel from head to toe ,in my face, in my mouth, and eyes by a truck that I bought from Fairway I was understandable upset. Well Mr. Gonzalez confused being upset with accusing me of being rude, and told me to leave and that he would not fix my truck. After calling GM I found out some very disturbing information. Since each dealership is independently owned they can refuse to work on a vehicle that you have purchased from them. This is a tremendous burden on the consumer to then search for a dealer that will work/service your vehicle. Imangine if you live in a small town with only one dealership and that dealership refused to service your vehicle, you would be forced to drive serveral miles/ hours ,possible even another state to get your vehicle repaired or serviced. This practice does not seem unjust to the consumer,. I have bought several vehiles from Fairway Chevrolet, and they didn't turn me away then, so guess if you are not buying a new car they don't stand behind what they sell , and even more disturbing is they don't have to. Bottom line is the customer service I recieved from Fairway Chevrolet, and by the service manager, Martin Gonzalez was horrible , and to rate it as very poor is an understatement. Please be aware. WARNING: Fairway Chevrolet loves to charge a $600 concierge fee, and they will probably not ask you point-blank whether you want to pay it, and they will probably not provide a list of what the fee e concierge fee, and they will probably not ask you point-blank whether you want to pay it, and they will probably not provide a list of what the fee entails. I understand that I should have been more careful before signing, but here is how they snuck it on me: After first trying to charge $2000 above the sticker price, the salesman finally “leveled” with me and went down to the correct price. At one point, he wrote down a total amount, which included financing. He kept bringing up this “concierge service” but did NOT give me a list of what it would involve. I asked about it several times, and he just answered “It’s included. I'm including it for you.” Of course, by the time I signed the contract, it was late at night and the finance guy rushed me through it. The next morning, I looked through everything, and, lo and behold, I was charged a xx concierge fee of $600. I had bought my last three vehicles through CarMax, so I was not used to such dishonesty. I called Fairway and learned that the salesman had pulled a slick one and meant that the fee would be included in the TOTAL that he had written down. I spoke to a Manager named Brett and asked if we could redo the contract without the fee, especially since I was never provided a list or explanation of it. He said no, reminded me that I signed my name to it, and declared that they need to charge this fee in order to make money off of their sales. So, I said the only thing left to say “Congratulations, sir. You got me.” After that scummy move, I will never buy from this place again. I later went in person to ask for an explanation of this fee that I was conned into, and the list is an absolute joke. I would never have agreed to pay $600 for it. More
I have had the most horrible experience buying a vehicle at this location.I feel like their sales team has totally made me feel taken advantage of me, insulted me, and i am very unsatisfied. The lack of ca at this location.I feel like their sales team has totally made me feel taken advantage of me, insulted me, and i am very unsatisfied. The lack of caring on their part is appalling and to make matters worse the store manager over the dealership did nothing but make it worse and refused to let me speak to anyone about him when I know if he's not the owner he has to have a boss. I've contacted the Better Business Bureau I fully intend to let people know that if they do come to purchase a car with Fairway that there's a pretty good chance if they will be taking advantage of 2. at the time of purchasing the car everything was great but as soon as there was an issue or as soon as I had a concern about the safety issues of my car they became very defensive. I spoke to General Motors directly and explained my grievances and was informed that if the dealership really wanted to be accommodating and show great customer service in the building of what could have been a lasting relationship they completely declined. and then that I didn't have the best credit or a lot of money to put down so basically i dont deserve to have a working car because of poor credit and lack of money to put up front however they did take my trade in and the equity in it. this has overall then a horrible experience just the one of the worst that I have ever encountered and I will never ever give my business back to fairway unless someone with some compassion for their customers and someone with some understanding for their customers can make this situation right otherwise you guys have definitely ruined my faith in Fairways business practices!!!!!!!!!!! Alfred is sneaky I see a review from another customer who he helped and feels taken advantage of. They should all be fired!!!!!!!!!!!!! More
I purchased a 2013 Chevy Cruze from Fairway Chevrolet on Sahara in June and after a week of driving it, it turned off in the middle an intersection and I had problems with it stalling. I called the finance Sahara in June and after a week of driving it, it turned off in the middle an intersection and I had problems with it stalling. I called the finance company to let them know my issue and they immediately stopped funding until the car is fixed. I took to car back to Fairway immediately. After a week with them it was supposed to be running fine but the same day I brought it home it did the same thing so I took it back the next business day. It was supposed to get checked out by some engineers from Detroit. We then got a call from the Sales Rep Alfred who advised us that they couldn't find what was wrong with the car and that they wanted to give us another car and due to the inconvenience they were giving us an employee discount. A different sales rep Henry helped us the second time. After we found the vehicle within the price range they said we can "afford" we were happy, until we got down to the financing. They wanted to give us an 11.9% interest rate because we were getting a luxury vehicle instead of what they wanted us to get, a Malibu. After calculating the car payment myself according to their interest rate and the final sales price with all the "discounts" and our down payment the payment amount I came up with did not match the payment amount they said it will be. I asked for the breakdown and after reviewing, we found that the discount they proposed was not included. Henry and his manager were in a hurry for us to sign without disclosing the fact that we weren't getting what we were promised. Henry and his manager basically said "we are busy, either take the car or go somewhere else." Lets remember we originally bought a car from them that didn't work. After my husband signed the paperwork, Henry left with a smirk to get us set up and get financing finalized. During that long process I couldn't let them make a fool out of us, and take my money. I called other Dealers and found Centennial Buick GMC were able to beat their price and work with our situation. We immediately asked for a refund of our down payment and walked out. Centennial Buick GMC was able to get into an even better vehicle with a very competitive interest rate. To all you people at Fairway Chevrolet, who has the last laugh now! Please stay away from them, they are liars, they promise but don’t deliver. They know their Chevy Cruze’s don’t work and are still selling these to people. I know this because the processor with the lender told me that she had 5 other cases of people with the same issue I was having, the service agent also said there were 9 vehicles that came in with the same issue, and the sales rep Henry acknowledged the Chevy Cruze’s were having issues. On 4/26, I worked on a car deal with Tim Slack on a 2013 Chevy Camaro. He said the vehicle was in Los Angeles and would not arrive to the dealership until 4/30. We agreed on a price, financing, etc and I Chevy Camaro. He said the vehicle was in Los Angeles and would not arrive to the dealership until 4/30. We agreed on a price, financing, etc and I wrote a check for $12,000 for the down payment with the promise of a delivery date of 4/30. The car did not come in on the day as promised. I was told the car may arrive on 5/1. On 5/1, I called Tim and he said they didn't know where the car was and that it was on a train somewhere between Los Angeles and Michigan. In the meantime, I called Chevrolet Corporate in Michigan and was told the car was still in Canada awaiting inspection! I called Tim with the information and he had nothing to add. My girlfriend called Tim and asked if getting the $12,000 check back and stopping the deal was an option. She was told yes because the paperwork was still sitting in the finance manager's office since the car had not been delivered yet. We decided to wait for the car and had been requesting periodic updates from the sales person. On 5/7, I get a call from the lending company (Chase) asking why I had not insured the car yet. I told Chase I did not have the car in my possession and it was not even in the country. Obviously, the paperwork had been submitted to the bank and the salesperson had lied to my girlfriend about everything being in the finance manager's office. I called Tim and he said "oh, we'll call the bank". Then on 5/8, I receive a letter from Terry Hoisington telling me I would be receiving a survey because of my vehicle purchase and if I wasn't "completely satisfied" to give him a call. My girlfriend has left him 3 voicemails and he has never returned her call and has never called me. On 5/10, I get a call from their office girl telling me I can pick up my green slip to have the car registered. How can I register a car, when I don't have the car? And if the dealership doesn't know when the car is going to be in, why would they have their office girl call about the green slip? Clearly, the dealership has lied about submitting my paperwork to the bank and everyone including the dealership thinks I have this car and I don't! I called the dealership today (5/11) because I wanted to pick up my down payment check. I was told my Tim they don't have the check because they cashed it. YES, THEY CASHED THE CHECK EVEN THOUGH THEY DID NOT DELIVER THE CAR!!!!!!!! They lied about when the car will be in and have cashed my check and I do not have the goods as promised. I am now being told I need to wait until Monday to get MY money! This dealership is full of liars and cheats. I have purchased several vehicles from many different dealerships and have never encountered this type of misrepresentation, dishonesty, and lack of integrity. If you are thinking about buying a vehicle, do not give your money to this dealership. This would have been my first Chevrolet purchase and needless to say, I will never buy a Chevy product. More
