They will NOT tell you the THE MOST DISHONEST CAR DEALERSHIP IN BOISE. Here are the facts: Red Flag #1: They do not have prices on their vehicles. They will NOT tell you the price of any vehicle until they are writing up the paperwork. Why would a dealership not list any prices? Red Flag #2: They claim the Kelly Blue Book values are meaningless. Their vehicles are priced 25% higher than the HIGH Retail Blue Book values. Really? Every honest dealership I have ever spoken with knows about the Blue Book Values. Red Flag #3: They tried to sell me a vehicle that was unsafe. The back seat of the vehicle wasn't even attached to the car!! Their response? "Mistakes happen." Mistakes happen?!? How about, "We are very sorry, let us resolve this right away." If you don't care about wasting money, if you don't care about your family's safety, and if you don't mind working with dishonest people, Fairly Reliable Bob's is the perefect place for you. More
Initially, the sales staff was pleasant and helpful. As I asked more questions, however, they became increasingly short and unfriendly. The Subaru Outback I drove had an obvious problem (the defroster blew a film of crud on the windshield), when I pointed it out they were incredulous and blew me off. After driving another vehicle I told them I would come back the next day with my wife. I wanted to buy from these guys! Don’t ask me why. The next day we drove one car and came back smiling, asking to drive another. The salesman was unfriendly, in fact, hostile – telling us to go somewhere else and come back when we found something so he could match the offer. I was baffled, my wife was furious. We went to Peterson’s auto and bought a beautiful BMW 330i with a factory warranty. That salesman was friendly, patient and cool. Avoid Fairly Reliable Bob’s – classic crooked used car salespeople. If the positive review wasn’t posted by them, well, come on folks. Since our encounter I’ve found that the experience was not unique. I don’t know how they make money. More
Corvettes from.....Fairly Reliable Who???????? Corvettes from.....Fairly Reliable Who???????? Several months ago, I spent $46,000 on a 05 convertible Vette from the dealer known as "Fairly Rel Corvettes from.....Fairly Reliable Who???????? Several months ago, I spent $46,000 on a 05 convertible Vette from the dealer known as "Fairly Reliable Bob" here in downtown Boise. After several months of owning this car I've had numerous problems with it that should have been taken of before the vehicle was sold, I find the dealership disgraceful in their practices of conducting business. The major issue that concerned me is that the vehicle I purchased was so badly out of alignment (although it drove ok)it scrubbed the front tires down to the steel belt on the front two and wore the rear ones bald, I brought this to their attention and found out how "Reliable" they really are..NOT! ..This was a life threatening issue.. like they cared. Bottom line is, if you are in the market for buying a used vehicle, I would avoid this place like the plague. there's too many good used car dealers out there that will stand behind what they sell, this place isn't one of them. Among other issues, I needed to have major transmission work done on this Vette by a reputable dealer after only 3,000 miles, it just get's worse from there.. don't buy from these grease xxxxxxx! they are the brunt of "used car salesman jokes" Graham More
I went here expressly looking for a sports car, good place to start since they sell the most Corvettes in Idaho. I told them I wanted something light, fun, and rwd. Mike tried to sell me a Prelude which place to start since they sell the most Corvettes in Idaho. I told them I wanted something light, fun, and rwd. Mike tried to sell me a Prelude which might be one of the above if you know nothing about driving. Denied their first offer and had to come back a second day. Butch helped me through things and we came to an agreement. Nobody was unfriendly but the service was that awkward-dealership-smiley-I-want-your-commission type of service. In reality, I had to find and sell the car to myself. They just happened to have it on their lot. Wasn't a Corvette (I respect myself) but go their if that's what you're looking for. Likely less pressure than most dealerships and they do a lot for the community. Atleast that's what the plaques said. I would recommend a private party everytime. And do your research everytime you're buying a car. Oh, and if you buy you are a permanent member of their mailing list, you'll need to buy another trash can. More
