2014 Certified Pre-Owned VW CC I visited several dealerships while shopping for a new car. Fairfield VW was the most positive shopping experience, mainly due to the interaction with my salesman, Ryan Shoemaker. I visited Fairfield VW twice and took cars out for a test drive on both occasions. Ryan was very helpful and knowledgeable. He was able to answer any questions that I had about the car, and VW's Certified Pre-Owned program. I never felt pressured to make a decision on the spot. When Indecided to buy the second car, the deal was negotiated in less than five minutes and without any drama. When it came time to sign all the papers with William Brooks, the situation became a bit irritating. During the process, William reviewed several extended warranties and other insurance options with me. When he showed me the page containing multiple options, I told him that I was not interested in purchasing any additional insurances. He insisted that he had to give me details about each option, and that I had to decline each, individually. After each explanation, I replied with, "No. Thanks." William asked for my reason for declining each coverage. I replied with "I am not interested." But , kept asking for my justification and provided some reason why I couldn't live without the coverage he was offering. I did my best to keep my responses polite, even though I was beginning to lose my patience with William. To be honest, I did not feel that I owed him any explanation for my decisions. That's my business. Not his. All things considered, I would still recommend Fairfield VW to a friend, and I would tell them to ask for Ryan Shoemaker. More

Smooth transaction - but surprise at (lease) deal signing We leased a a 2017 Jetta for our son, which was mostly smooth going except for the BIG dealer surprise when picking up the car: Fairfield VW charges We leased a a 2017 Jetta for our son, which was mostly smooth going except for the BIG dealer surprise when picking up the car: Fairfield VW charges us a fee of $350 ("penalty" ) if we do not renew another lease or purchase at the end of our term together. This was not reviewed by the salesman - and obviously did not sit well. While my son is a "VW believer", and will most likely make another VW acquisition at end of his lease - to be forced to that decision by applying a sizable penalty/fee is certainly not in the dealers best interest... We were told that "....it is a leasing standard that most manufacturers have (no, they don't) and they have become so used to this fee it that they overlook it at times.... " Other than that - it was a painless transaction. Great car. More
Last minute fix couldn't have been easier! There's nothing worse than getting a piece of metal in your tire on the way home, except for maybe driving 50 MPH on the donut. I called the next morning and Chad made an appointment for the same day. When I pulled into the service garage, Cory walked out to assist. He made the check in process easy and made sure I had the WiFi password. Honestly, everyone, I saw while I was there was so nice! Especially the guy that made sure I knew how the coffee machine worked, sorry I didn't catch your name! I realized I left my cell phone in my car and Chad was nice enough to retrieve it. Cory let me ask 1000 questions, all with a smile, and double checked that they were all taken care of before I left. It's a hike to drive from the Kenwood area, but I'll gladly continue! Thanks so much! More
