I want to apologize for you negative experience you had. I would be upset also. As I told you on the phone we had the car checked out at the auction when we purchased it and also when we received it in VA. The only issue that we noticed was the tires didn't look like new like the rest of the car. We replaced them with 4 new tires to make it look like this beautiful car deserved. We wanted to have this car look 100%. I actually personally love this car and have driven it several times. This car being almost 10 years old has been serviced at the same Mercedes Benz dealer and was actually a Mercedes-Benz CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED CAR to the second owner and has been meticulously serviced at the same dealer until a week before we purchased the car. We were perplexed and concerned that the local Mercedes-Benz dealer recommend the list they gave you. It appears that they recommended preventive maintenance . I am so upset and concerned that we are bringing the car back to the dealer for me to personally go over the car with the service manager. Fairfax Motors had no knowledge it needed any work. I believe they maybe trying to recommend service because it being a 9.5 year old car and don't have the history that has been done. Unfortunately we are selling the car at cost and don't have room to spend $6k on there finding so we are going back to them to seek the truth. I have never seen batteries that cost almost $800 especially when it was replaced approx 10k miles ago. I know you purchased another car but just wanted to follow up with you. Thanks again for speaking to me today. I am sorry your father is not doing well. If you ever need anything in the car business or want honest advice you can always call me. In the future when ever there is a big estimate i would recommend a second opinion. Service department are in business to make money and usually try to sell service. I would recommend to deal with one mechanic who you can trust and is honest. I am not saying this dealer is not honest but I am taking the car back to the and personally looking under the car with the manager. I have been in business for over 24 years and won numerous award the last been named the STATE QUALITY DEALER OF THE YEAR. Again I am sorry the way we made you all feel and this was NOT the intention. please take my sincere apologizes. Also I am sorry your father is not doing well. I hope he feels better. If you allow I would like to offer flowers or a donation to the charity of your choice for the inconvenience with your limited time or even detail your new car you got from another dealer.
