Very Dissapointed!!! My husband and I bought a used 2008 Ford Edge in 2011 from Fair Oaks Ford in Naperville. We bought the extended warranty at that time as well. The winter of 2011 we noticed the heat on the drivers side was not blowing warm or hot air, in fact, it was cool air and with very little force. The passenger side would get hot and expel quite a force of nice heat. So we brought the vehicle to Fair Oaks and my husband mentioned that he felt a blend door wasn't working properly. They told us they saw nothing wrong but flushed the coolant for us. There did seem to be heat on the drivers side but still no real force of heat when I first got the vehicle back, Within a few days it got cold again. So we brought it back..they flushed it again saying nothing is wrong. The following winter started with the same problem and we brought the vehicle in again with the same complaint. Again, they flushed the coolant and it seemed to give me some heat on the drivers side. So... now the car is out of warranty and the exact same problem arises. We bring the vehicle in and they magically diagnose the problem!! They tell us the blend door actuator needs replacing and will cost us $450. My husband explains this is the same problem we have had since purchasing the vehicle and feels this should have been fixed properly when it was under warranty. Of course, we got nowhere with that. So he talked with the service director, Mark Benakovich, his response is, "You've never spent any money in our service department and you expect us to fix this for free?" Free?????? This is my second car I've bought there and both times I bought extended warranties!!!! That certainly was not free! How about all of our time being inconvenienced by bringing the vehicle back in for the same issue and not having heat in my car...you wasted my time repeatedly and left me with no vehicle each time. My husband does our oil changes and brakes himself...sorry you have been so inconvenienced by us for not having you do those services. My husband asked the service director, "How would you feel if this was your vehicle?" Mark Benakovich, service director responded, "Not my car, not my problem!" I think you have shammed us and have taken advantage of us!! We have friends who had similar experiences at Fair Oaks! We will take this further and will make sure our friends, family, employees and Facebook friends know how crooked you operate. We have already contacted Ford Corporate and lobbied a complaint. Next is BBB. You'll never receive another dime from us! More

New vehicle purchase and exchange The dealership and sales staff was very professional and helpful in making a deal work to my approval in a very reasonable period of time. I had received a phone call from the dealership asking if I would be interested in exchanging my existing vehicle which I had purchase from Fair Oaks for a newer one. I was already going to be bringing my vehicle in for an oil change service. So I agreed to an appointment with the sales staff at the same time. I selected the vehicle I was interested in with the specific options and took a test drive. I then requested them to work up the numbers and provide me with a trade in value. They came up with a very workable deal on a lease for a 2016 Ford Edge and a good trade in value for my 2012 Ford Escape. This whole process took about 2.5 hours to be out the door with my new vehicle. I have purchased 3 previous vehicles at this dealership as well as assisting my son in purchasing a vehicle and their service and personal attention has always been excellent. They also have an excellent service department which I have used for several years. More
Poor service On 7/1/16 I brought my 2013 Lincoln MKX in due to the air conditioning not working. Their service associate Anthony gave me the attitude like he could care less if I was there. I reminded him that I needed a rental and was given a 2016 Lincoln MKZ. I explained to him that I needed something bigger, more like my MKZ and he replied "did you let us know "? I informed him that I had filled out my dealer preferences a long time ago and that the information was in there. He said you are going to have to contact Lincoln stating they were never given that information. The rental was dirty inside with only 1/4 tank of gas. I asking him to put more gas in the car since its a 45minute ride back home, he wasn't very happy. I was finally able to pick my car up on 7/6/16 after they supposedly fixed a leaky hose. On 7/9/16 my air conditioner was not working once again. I sent a message to the repair department on that day and still have not heard a word. I'm extremely upset with having to drive 45minutes each way again to have the air conditioning fixed again! Hopefully for real this time!!! More
Great sales experiance but not service I purchased a new 2016 MKX which has had some problems, thus far; poor back of the seat cooling, squeaky door, headlight warning message, courtesy sea I purchased a new 2016 MKX which has had some problems, thus far; poor back of the seat cooling, squeaky door, headlight warning message, courtesy seat not working properly, a rattle from a speaker and a throttle body malfunction. I am not knocking the car as this is the first model year car and some hiccups are to be expected. First, every time I was there the service staff was courteous even though they were dealing with increasingly frustrated customer and here is why. In total since January (its June now) I have had 5 visits 4 times for the back cooling issue and 5 times for the speaker, 2 times for squeaky door and 3 times for the courtesy seat. There rest were fixed on the first try. Here is my complaint and frustration, the speaker grill is vibrating when playing music, listening to AM or having a phone conversation, touching the speaker grill with my finger lightly makes the rattle go away, in fairness they have replaced the speaker, the grill and the panel (at least that is what I'm being told.) None of these solutions helped, other MKX's don't have this issue on a $1300 sound system option and at no point did Mark or anybody else with whom I dealt with say, "okay we think we fixed the issue let’s sit down in the car and see if it’s still there." I would not expect this after the first visit or even second but FIVE!!! What adds insult to injury is the first two times I offered to show them what the problems are (initially the speaker, the door squeaking and power seat) and both times the offer was refused…”we got it” I was told. They didn’t. One of those time was with the door, I could see the rubber boot was out and was rubbing against the door, they said they fixed it by tightening something up, when I look at it the boot was still out, no biggie, I gave them the benefit of doubt now after the rest of my experiences I don’t believe anybody look at it or looked at it well. Similar experience with the courtesy power seat, which on the 3rd try was not a memory module issue but instead courtesy module issue. The back cooling is a design issue and after 4 visits and an updated module, it is better but still poor performing though not the dealers fault anymore, hope Ford/Lincoln will come up with an appropriate solution. I’m working with Lincoln concierge to arrange the fix of the speaker with another dealer, this shouldn’t be this hard it’s not a software gremlin just a vibrating grill (I put a rubber washer that helped reduce the number of times it vibrates by 50%) In fairness, each time I came they took the vehicle to work on without pushing back and Mark has been courteous when dealing with me so I don’t know if the overall service experience is the dealers fault or Marks but there is a general feeling of churn and burn and if we don’t fix it the first time we will fix it the next time or the 5th time. Maybe the reason they are so busy is because there is never enough time to fix it right the first time? As a Lincoln owner expect a Ford dealer experience and not a Lincoln experience. More

They are super friendly and were able to diagnose a problem that another Ford dealer missed.I could not be happier with the whole experience. I live in Tinley Park and it is worth the drive to not only purchase but service a car there. Anthony in service was fantastic and John Kranjovich is one of the most honest genuine GMs around!!! More

Horrible service Brought my 2014 Ford Raptor Roush Phase 2 in for warranty work and oil change pick the truck up and they tell me all fixed . Literally pull out of dealer and my truck dies and has same issue . Did they even test drive it or just cleared the check engine code. Also had the oil changed and tires rotated and they gave it a complimentary car wash . I got a few deep scratch on my wheel when they rotated it and the wash looked like the just wiped the salt off my truck with a wet rag. Glad I just paid 65k for a truck for them to treat it like crap. Called the general manager and left a message. Never got a call back More
