This review is about our experiences with the Parts and Service Departments (~5+ times at each) of Fair Oaks Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge (FOCJD). As the original owner of a 10+ year old Jeep that has been t Service Departments (~5+ times at each) of Fair Oaks Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge (FOCJD). As the original owner of a 10+ year old Jeep that has been to almost every Jeep dealer in Northern Virginia (and several out of state), I must say that FOCJD Parts and Service Departments were great finds for my husband and I. We have been searching for some time for a good mechanic, due to a geographic area filled with mechanics that either lack skill and attention to detail and/or are not given the appropriate resources to properly fix our Jeep (e.g., high customer volume leading to shortcuts and low quality of materials and work.) For ~ 5 months our Jeep had a mechanical issue that another dealer took months and $100s to diagnose and as of early this summer (2010) had still not diagnosed properly. This summer we tried FOCJD for some parts and found their Parts Manager (Doug Morgan) to be extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. We therefore made an appointment for service hopeful that our lengthy and now costly Jeep issue would be solved. We were so pleased with the work the mechanic did on both personally describing the fix for the issue and finally fixing the issue, that we have brought our Jeep back to FOCJD ever since. Our Service Advisor Ricky Mussenden and the Service Manager Chris Morrison are both very helpful and seem to genuinely care about their customers' service experience and satisfaction. Thank you for taking the time to read my review based on our experiences, please note I rated this dealer a "good" overall as there is still room for improvement in certain areas -- but this has been the best Jeep parts and service experience we have had in the Northern Virginia area in some time. The service team is great. I'm driving back home to Las Vegas, money kind of tight, and they serviced my car within my budget. I've told many people the story...you can't teach that. I'm sorry to be leaving the area because I had a great relationship with Fair Oaks, not only with Ricky but with Joe Khatib (who I consider a friend). If I ever find my way back east again, these are my guys. I wish them well and much success. More

When I first arrived at Fair Oaks Chantilly Dodge, I told them right away what I wanted and the price I could afford. I told them I didn't want to haggle. Thad listened to what I was looking for. We went for a test drive and I felt it handled well. However, when we went in the dealership to talk price, it was as if they didn't believe me when I gave them my maximum. Once we established that I could not go over the amount I told them, Marvin also took notes on what I needed so he could look and see if there was something in my price range that wasn't currently on the lot. Luckily, the credit union from whom I was getting the loan unexpectedly dropped their interest rate for a 2-day "sale." I was able to increase the amount I was able to borrow to closer to the price on the vehicle I wanted. There was a little haggling, but not much. We were able to come to an agreement and I am happy with my purchase. More
I knew I wanted a Jeep Compass when I entered the dealership in May of 2010. I had designed my car online, printed a copy which included prices, and took it with me. There was not a 2010 on the lot that met my expectations (there were only 2) and the 2011 models were not expected until August. I needed my new car by July. Sony explained that the 2010 cars were being produced by special order and that I would have it in June. We went to the computer and ordered my car and desired options. The price was the same as I had found on the Jeep website and the only discussion was the current dealer incentive. That was a good thing and reduced the price of my new vehicle. Sony further explained that if the dealer incentive at the time of pick up of my new vehicle was enhanced that I would be offered the better incentive. The incentive was the same but I did receive a very fair price on the vehicle I traded. The estimated time for production of my 2010 Compass Limited was 1-2 months and I received it in 1 month. Sony kept me informed by email of my vehicle's progress during production. I am thrilled with my purchase experience and new vehicle. More
