David Guevara is an extremely professional and friendly salesperson. He made the leasing process so easy and guided me through everything ahead of time via text so my time in the dealership was only an hou salesperson. I am beyond disappointed in this dealership, more specifically, sales manager Tom Nguyen. This man attempted to come off as a trusted, charismatic individual, but essentially in my experience workin specifically, sales manager Tom Nguyen. This man attempted to come off as a trusted, charismatic individual, but essentially in my experience working with him, my opinion changed and he has lost my trust and respect. Now here is to why. I had completed an online inquiry for a vehicle, I started talking with some individuals and got numbers. Once I received the numbers, I went into the dealership to further discuss and try to come to numbers all parties could agree on to finalize deal. That evening, we did not get there, but with further discussion via phone the following day, things changed. Tom, did a great job crunching numbers and getting a number that I was realistic for me the next day. I verbally agreed to the numbers and so did Tom. A deposit form was sent to me, signed and returned with the $1,000 deposit. This is where things take a turn. The following morning, I get a text from Tom. Instead of Tom being an honest and accountable salesman, he decided to hit me with the okie doke and state, oh the system is messed up, I did not see that someone else had a deposit on the vehicle. He stated that he needed to refund my deposit. (The car was in transit and not on the lot so all the information on it being sold already would be online and not on the car with the letters SOLD on it.) I was extremely disappointed as I would expect the system to be checked to make sure the car was not sold yet before working on a deal. This seemed shady as we got to some pretty good numbers, which leads me to believe that he knew the number we got to was not realistic and now I truly believe that is the case and here is why. It has been a little less than a week since this occurred, and I have went back to the dealers website. The vehicle is on the property now, photos have been taken showing it is no longer in transit. INTERESTINGLY ENOUGH, THE CAR IS NOW LISTED AT $2,000 MORE THAN ORIGINALLY POSTED. Tom did you actual have the car sold already? Or did you just not want to sell the car at the price negotiated? I can answer this. It was not sold. The car is available as of 12/13/2021 at 4pm after confirmation of calling the dealership and an online salesman confirming the cars availability. If the car was in fact sold and the person dropped out of the deal, Tom, why didn't you or someone on your team call me back and let me know hey the car is back on the market? So now that I know the car is back for sale, Herman, the sales director was contacted and lets me know that they will grant me the same offer, but NOW, the previous person that had a deposit ordered a lift kit and I would have to pay for the full cost of the lift kit. I did not ask for a $2,900 lift kit (IT WAS NOT PUT ON THE CAR WHEN THIS WAS OFFERED, NOTE THIS FOR LATER ON). Ross, a newer salesman (FYI, was very kind and really wanted to make this deal work) is in the middle of this because Tom never once reached back out to me. He sends me an updated to include the lift kit, that was forwarded from Tom. When I look at the paperwork, as expected the lift kit was included but also included, which was not in my original quote was LoJack and Zurich Shield standard. I asked about it and I was told that is included on every car sold out this dealership. I then asked, if that is the case, why was that not on my ORIGINAL quote that I had put a deposit on? More SKETCHY, DISHONEST BUSINESS if you ask me. I never asked, nor wanted it, why is it on there all of the sudden? I debated taking the car with the lift and I would have considered the deal if they would have come down in price a little bit considering I did not ask nor order a lift kit to begin with. So then George Jenkins, a salesman overseeing Ross, a newer salesman gives me a call. He was the first person to send me any numbers but apparently he was out of the office because of COVID during the span of this mess. I explain to him everything that had taken place. His first order of business was to try and persuade me to take this review down because it does not effect anyone but Ross, which again, has done nothing wrong to me in this situation. I asked, if I take this review down, how will this dealership ever be accountable, how will your management also ever be held accountable. He said I can speak to Ricky Bush. I then asked, but how can I have a review on your dealership made public that does not effect Ross, and he said it is not possible. No hard feelings, nothing personal, but I said, this review is not being removed and that is why I am continuously saying Ross was nothing but kind and sympathetic in this situation. I then tell George, you are so concerned about this review, what about this deal? If we can strike a deal, I would consider giving maybe a more positive review. With the lift kit, LoJack and Zurch Shield standard, my monthly payment was 70$ more than we had originally negotiated before this mess. I told them I was willing to pay $42 more than our original deal and we may be able to strike a deal. Now go back to the note regarding the lift kit that had not been installed yet, which is now installed once all this back and forth is going on. George then asks me, what if we can get you the original deal we had? I said, with the lift kit? He responds and says no, I will have the lift kit removed. First off, if that was the case that the order on the lift did not have to be installed, why did you install it in the first place when I reached back out regarding this vehicle? Second off, this is supposed to be a brand new car, I do not want a vehicle that has been altered with not once, but twice now before it even left the lot. No thank you. SKETCHY BUSINESS. I will consider this deal if you drop the deal $28 a month. He says he will give me a call back, which he does and says they can't do that, where the new quote that was sent to me is, is where it stands. Once I make it known I will not go further with the deal, there was more discussion about this review, which has been updated to add all the shenanigans I dealt with during my experience with Fair Oaks Jeep. They were more concerned about getting the review down then actually trying to satisfy someone they screwed over, WHICH IN FACT, George DOES NOT THINK I AM GETTING SCREWED OVER. His words, "you are not getting screwed over because you ae going to drive to Jersey to get the same exact car." So wasting a customers time, taking a deposit, refunding them, and this entire experience does not make you feel like you screwed someone over? I am an open and very honest person, and that was the first thing I said to Tom when we spoke in the dealership. I told him I expect the same from him. Unfortunately, I did not get that. Very disappointed business is what I got. I happily drove 8 hours roundtrip to Jersey to Teterboro CJDR and got my 2021 Gecko Green Jeep Rubicon with no problems and will be installing the same 2 inch lift for significantly cheaper than $2,900 from another Jeep dealership. This is sketchy business, dishonest business and not business that you conduct with consumers. I hope this dealership does not try to get other negative reviews off this page the same way they attempted to get me to remove my review. It is important for these honest reviews to be visible as it will hold individuals accountable and hopefully make them realize that this is not how you treat customers and hopefully they treat others with more honesty and respect in the future.
