Exceeds Expectations (Even When I Arrived on Wrong Day!) I have a long history with Exeter Subaru, both before and after their big renovation. The service advisors are so knowledgeable that I think they do double duty as mechanics. If my car has an unexpected and expensive defect, the agents discuss options with me. They often talk about the mechanics in a friendly family way that lets me know they are all valued as people and technicians. (“Our guy ‘Einstein’ took a look and knew exactly what was going on.” “Our technician has a Forester the same year as you and also wants to keep it running forever.”) Whatever my final bill, I always leave Exeter Subaru having had a few good laughs and knowing they care about me AND my car. I could have sworn I had a follow-up appointment at Exeter Subaru on April 3, 2019. It had been scheduled to replace a part on the rear hatch of my 2005 Forester so it would pass inspection. As usual, I had brought along a good book and was looking forward to some quiet "me time" waiting in the spacious waiting room with its awesome coffee maker (which is always well stocked with creamers AND my favorite variety of coffee), a goodies basket (also well stocked with items I never even knew existed like a bag of tiny blueberry muffins), comfy chairs with lots of personal space between them, free wi-fi, a separate "working waiting room" with ample surface area and outlets for devices, a TV larger than any apartment I had lived in, and a reliably clean ladies room. So upon learning my appointment was scheduled 3 days AFTER my arrival, I was embarrassed, but more disappointed that I would miss out on my anticipated waiting room experience. And I did not want to have to come back again on another day and change my schedule. To my amazement, service advisor Josh assured me it might not have been my mistake and he would try to fit me in anyway. I was so relieved and appreciative. I probably inconvenienced the schedule of the service crew and also extended my waiting time. But I am truly thankful that I can rely on Exeter Subaru for friendly service, even on the wrong day. (Sadly, there were no blueberry mini-muffins, but still …) More
Great Service Experience Recently had my 2016 Impreza checked out just before the warranty expired. I literally made the appointment for the last day of the warranty period. Spoke with Amy on the phone to set up the appointment, who worked diligently to get me squeezed in. And when I arrived it was Josh behind the service counter who took care of things. The car was checked out by a mechanic who obviously knew his business. As it turned out, everything was good. I'm glad for the peace of mind, and I greatly appreciate the courtesy and professionalism of the service crew. The waiting area ain't bad either. More

I had been a Subaru customer for many years, but was dissatisfied when the dealer I have been a customer of Exeter Subaru for approximately 10 years. I had been a Subaru customer for many years, but was dissatisfied when the dealership I dealt with previously changed hands so I decided to try Exeter Subaru. I was very satisfied with the treatment I received by the service department and I felt that I could trust the people who worked there. At one of my service appointments for my Outback they loaned me a Forrester and, as much as I liked my Outback, I immediately fell in love with the Forrester. I have since purchased two new Forresters and have been as satisfied with the Sales Department as I have always been with the Service Department. More

Thought I would just go to the parts department and by a set and put them on at home. They asked for my vin # being 2016 it was still under warranty. Service department asked for my keys went installed the wiper blades and I was on my way. Thank you for going the extra mile. Great service!! Larry P. More
Found great Subaru Service at Exeter Subaru! I keep my Subarus for at least 12 years or 300,000 miles. I have never had a Subaru conk out on me on the road. Preventative maintenance is cost effective and efficient. My 2008 Impreza is good for at least another five to seven years. My 2017 Forester is going strong at 31,500 miles. My previous Forester is currently well over 300,000 miles. A neighborhood kid took it over just before the 300,000 mile mark. (He kept asking for the car and I was thinking about a new one.) I need a service center with master mechanics and a willingness to keep my cars in top condition. I expect the owner/general manager to consider the service department to be as important to the business as the sales department. I expect a loaner when a service appointment is going to take a few hours or more to complete. When, work needs to be done, I expect a clean, clear description of what is being done and why it is important. I expect the car to be returned cleaner than it was when I brought it in. I expect a follow-up call within 24 hours of the service's complete to make sure I am fully satisfied. I also expect a reasonable amount of flexibility when it comes to scheduling service appointments and a friendly front desk staff. My wife says I am a demanding customer with a no tolerance for miscommunications or poor performance. I agree... Exeter Subaru auditioned for my service business and new car business on Saturday, 1/5/2019. They did a Level 3 Service with a full alignment. Exeter Subaru passed with a perfect score. They have earned my future business. More
