If you're someone who prefers driving a manual transmission, I don't need to tell you that there are slim pickings out there for new vehicles. After an exhaustive search I limited my choices to a transmission, I don't need to tell you that there are slim pickings out there for new vehicles. After an exhaustive search I limited my choices to a few different types of smaller SUVs and Crossovers. While I drove some that felt okay, I was very frustrated with the fact that they were only base models and more importantly if a manual transmission was selected, there were barely any that were available in either 4WD or AWD. I went into this particular Subaru dealership with only an intent to test drive, yet after days and days of searching I was overwhelmed by the friendliness and zero pressure approach of our sales associate, John. He really listened to what my husband and I were saying and by the time we left the dealership I had almost made my mind favorably on a car they had on their lot, an Outback. Yet I really wanted a red car, and one that also had heated seats (this is New England after all). The following day my husband spoke to John about finding another model and within 48 hours the car was waiting for me. Everything was handled professionally, respectfully and with a knowledgeable staff. I feel really happy with my choice and believe that this is the beginning of a long term relationship with our family and this dealership. Yes, I fully expect to return there in a few years and get my next vehicle from them. More

After much frustration with another dealership regarding the trade in value of my vehicle on a Saturday, I went online and read some reviews describing good experiences with Exeter Subaru so decided to chec the trade in value of my vehicle on a Saturday, I went online and read some reviews describing good experiences with Exeter Subaru so decided to check them out on Sunday. My first impression was that everyone was friendly. We were greeted by multiple people making sure we were being taken care of. Not being in the mood for any nonsense and didn't want to waste a beautiful fall day haggling, I explained to Scott my experience from the previous day and told him what I wanted to pay for the new car and how much I was excepting for my trade. (I had spent a lot of time researching true market value on both vehicles and felt that my expectations were reasonable and fair for both of us). Scott took the information to his Sales Manager. When he returned they reduced the price of the new car an additional $200 from what I wanted and agreed to my trade value. It was that easy! Can't tell you how refreshing it was to deal with a no nonsense dealership. Even at the end of the sale, Josh in finance explained some value added warranty and insurance options but was not pushy when I declined them. Picked up my new car on Monday. I LOVE my new Outback! Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I would recommend Exeter Subaru to anyone. More

Within a short period of time, she found the (preowned) Blue Impreza I had in mind. Karisa then took me for a trial run, and I felt comfortable at the wheel - thanks to her patience and expert guidance. Upon our return to the Showroom, she proceeded to explain all the paperwork - and it went very smoothly! John Sughrue, the sales guy I dealt with, is the reason for the high marks I give this dealership. I was looking for a pick up truck. I pulled into Exeter Subaru on the off chance that they might have for the high marks I give this dealership. I was looking for a pick up truck. I pulled into Exeter Subaru on the off chance that they might have a small truck. I told John what I was looking for in my next vehicle. I expected to never hear from Subaru again about a pick up. John took the information I had given him , came up with different options in my price range, then called me with his ideas. At one point he talked me out of buying one vehicle because he was uncomfortable with its ability to do everything I had told him I wanted it to do. It turns out that a Forester does everything for me with better mph than a pickup. At signing time, once again I told john what I was comfortable with and he and Jimmy,the finance guy, made it happen. More
