The overall experience with Exeter Subaru was quite positive. It started when I contacted them via email about a particular vehicle in their inventory. They were responsive to that email as well as w positive. It started when I contacted them via email about a particular vehicle in their inventory. They were responsive to that email as well as well as several followups. This is more than I can say for several other dealers I tried to interact with. The sales folks were friendly and not pushy at all. Answered all my questions, provided a carfax report on request. I didn't walk away with that "slimy feeling" that I often feel after talking to car salespeople. The finance department was very helpful - they have a relationship with about a dozen different lending institutions and helped put together an affordable loan for us. More
We shopped around at many area dealers comparing vehicles we were interested in. There were many car sales men at other dealers that were "typical" to what you might expect a car salesman to be like and they we were interested in. There were many car sales men at other dealers that were "typical" to what you might expect a car salesman to be like and they were very unpleasant, but not at Exeter Subaru. Not only did we like the Subaru better than other cars we tried, but we were sold on the customer service we received and the deal we were able to make. It was a pleasant experience all around and Al was great to work with. I would definitely send my friends and family there! More
I was stuck in a lease with Honda with a civic coupe. I found out i was pregnant 1 yr into my lease and need a bigger vehicle. Honda would not negotiate a deal with me on a crv and basically they told me I found out i was pregnant 1 yr into my lease and need a bigger vehicle. Honda would not negotiate a deal with me on a crv and basically they told me I would have to pay $400 a month to lease the bottom line crv. We went to Toyota in Epping to see about trading my civic in and leasing a rav 4. They quoted me $400 also for the bottom line rav4. We were at our ends witt with these places seeing as I was only paying 200 a month for my civi lease. We went to Exeter Subaru to look at the Foresters which we were hesitant to lease because of how ugly we thought they use to be. We saw the new body style and were very pleased. We took it for a test run and the car was heavier than the crv and rav, it felt safer and the interior was ALOT nicer. It was the perfect size, way more trunk space, reclining back seats with plently of leg room for my 6'4 hubby and rated top safety. It was perfect for a new baby on the way! I feel like the new foresters are way more modern looking and will appeal to a younger generation. We dealt with jimmy and he gave us an amazing DEAL! So nice and easy to work with. I had my new SAFE Subaru and a payment that we could manage. The took my civic and rolled me into a new lease program. I got to drive my Forester last winter and in a snow storm it felt like there wasnt even snow on the roads. AMAZING!!! I highly reccomend Exeter Subaru and the Forester!!! More
This was the best car buying experience I have ever had. Never once was I pressured into options that I did not find necessary! While this was my first Subaru purchase, I know that it will not be my last a Never once was I pressured into options that I did not find necessary! We purchased a used 2003 Honda CRV with low mileage (50K)with a three month warrantee on powertrain. The second day I had it I checked the oil level, we were going on a trip. There was barely any oil i (50K)with a three month warrantee on powertrain. The second day I had it I checked the oil level, we were going on a trip. There was barely any oil in the engine and it was very thick and black. Needless to say I went back and voiced my concerns to the manager Jason. He acted very apologetic and said he would give me a free oil change and ask his service manager what happened. I never got an adequate response, but in the mean time (I had to do my own oil change in order to keep driving the vehicle) we realized that the vehicle had a serious oil consumption issue. During a trip to West Virginia we consumed 9 quarts of oil in 1200 miles. I returned to the dealer and was told by Jason to bring it to a nearby Honda dealer for analysis, that he needed to know what to fix in order to move forward with repairs. The Honda dealer did some checks and came to the conclusion that the motor is shot and needs to be replaced. Jason now says that he will not do any repairs, that this is a "minor inconvienence" (adding oil) and has nothing further to say. Be careful buying from these guys, they speak proudly of their customer service satisfaction ratings, but they do not stand behind their promises or products. More
