Very good experience at Exeter Subaru. John Webster was friendly, professional and a good advocat for purchasing from you. He was knowledgable yet low key and did not make us feel as though we were purcha friendly, professional and a good advocat for purchasing from you. Car buying can be a royal pain as I've experienced in the past and it has not been a favorite thing to do. I searched online for a Subaru Tribeca within a certain price and year range and found Exeter Subaru past and it has not been a favorite thing to do. I searched online for a Subaru Tribeca within a certain price and year range and found Exeter Subaru had one for the best price by 1 or 2k. I called to make sure the vehicle was still available and it was. I drove down the very same day to test drive it. We already own a Subaru Forester so I was familiar with the Subaru brand. The waiting time to get the car and all the paper work done needs improvement, However Christian did come in on his day off to finalize the transaction. I live over an hour away and had to drive back which I really didnt want to do. They tried to push off the final transaction for a couple days (which I didnt understand). As a follow up: I had the car for a month and had to get rid of it.. What a piece of crap. It was a 2008 Tribeca with less than 50k and it looked great. Driving it for the initial test drive was fine too. But after driving it for a few thousand miles, uugh it sucked. The constant rattling of some heat shield and the front end was shot. Its like someone took the thing off-roading. As far as the dealership goes, they never ever followed up to see how I liked the car and to see if I was satisfied. I ended up trading it in for a Toyota Tundra after only having it for 6 weeks. I would not recommend this dealer. More
My wife and I chose Exeter subaru because of Marty. Wehave been to many dealerships in the past few months. When approached by Marty,He introduced himself and told us if we needed anything just let him Wehave been to many dealerships in the past few months. Later we asked Marty many many questions about the forester which he answered all of them and helped us out quite a bit. The very next day we came back and bought our brand new forester. John's customer service and quality of service were great. We were buying a used car for our son. When we were finalizing the deal, we sent our son without us...and closed the deal from the phone wit great. We were buying a used car for our son. Our only complaint was that when the deal was done, and we were going to go the next day for delivery, our son was told he "had" to leave a deposit. Being that we have bought at least 15 cars in our lifetime, and never had a dealership question our return and demand a deposit, we felt mistrusted. I know this has absolutely nothing to do with our salesman, and is dealer policy, but it was disappointing just the same. More

These guys are scam artists. Went to buy a Forester this past weekend (June 2011). Got a good quote on a new one and on my trade from a nearby Subaru dealership. Problem was, they didn’t have it in stock past weekend (June 2011). Got a good quote on a new one and on my trade from a nearby Subaru dealership. Problem was, they didn’t have it in stock and I’d have to wait a few days. Went to Exeter Subaru because they had the exact same model with the exact same equipment on the lot. This is were the bad started; we went back and forth with the salesman and him going back and forth with his sales manager for an hour and a half! All we wanted was for them to match what the other Subaru dealership had offered us. A simple NO or YES was all we needed. They kept us stringed along with this shell game they play there telling you how low your payments will be with their financing but not actually doing much on the price. In the end of the ordeal they were still $100 more then the other dealership and we just walked out. There is a realson why you can’t get them to give you a straight answer about anything, scam artists! Wouldn’t wish that experience on anyone. More
This dealership has always given me a great price and deal on their new vehicles. I have always gotten what i wanted for a trade in and always received a better than average price on a new vehicle. I feel he does a great job as a liason between the customer and the dealership management and truely feel as if he is looking out for my best interest. I would absolutely recommend this salesman and dealership to everyone i know, and i have. Great customer service, great prices, great referral incentive.
