I made a 6:00pm appt. with Mr. Hair and was professionally greeted and welcomed and my questions for my hubby and I were met quickly and honestly. I bought a new 2012 Subaru Forester for a fair price over their invoice amount (I double checked from my own edmunds.com source)the money and stuff matched up perfectly. The dealership and management gave me fair market value on my 2004 Honda Accord tradein car. I got a very low interest rate in the finance dept. with Isaih and bought GAP insurcence too. I was was never pressured in our buying SUV process...it was a blesssing to be treated with kindness and not taking foever like 5 hours when I bought another import years before! I have referred many friends and family to Darrell Hair and the past month...all 3 bought Outbacks. I love my Subaru...why I bought is simple...they made it so easy to say yes. God Bless Them. More
Who would have thought that buying a car could go so breezy? Chuck Timmerman, Isaiah Crowe and Darren Davis are quite the team. I went in to only look, as I did not know much about Subaru (other than my friends who own them, love them). I learned a lot, test drove a few and fell in love with the 2012 Cypress Green Outback. They actually didn't have the green one in stock, so it was driven in from Houston within a week. They gave me a new Outback loaner to use until mine arrived. Buying a car is never a fun process, but making an honest connection with the sales/finance team is very important. I found my car, they made a sale and gained a friend. I now go in every few weeks for my free car wash (a great perk) and I feel like they are family. David, Casey and Kevin also have kindly assisted with recent requests, no questions asked. They took good care of me during and continue to take great care after the sale. Love this dealership and the guys who make it great! More
Mike the Service Manager adopted a condescending and paternalistic attitude with me when I had taken my two year old Legacy in for the fourth time to get the sunroof fixed. While fixing the sunroof, the technicians somehow blew out the fuse that controls the power mirrors. After taking my car in repeatedly for a problem with the front seat, this was the last straw. I didn't receive an apology, but did receive an offer of an "accessory" for my troubles. Sorry a Subaru cap or t-shirt won't cut it. That dealership is plastered with slogans touting their committment to customer service--too bad the service manager doesn't take the time to read and internalize them. More
Chuck and Darren are great guys with even better customer service. It was just a pleasure to do business with them. They created a very laidback and relaxed car buying experience. They did not pressure me or my husband into making an irrational decision and really valued not only our time, but also what purchase option was in our best interest. The night we began browsing, they both dedicated time to us even though it was after-hours, and I'm sure they were ready to go home, just like anyone after a long day at work. Even both knowing that it wasn't going to be a sale that night for sure, they still gave us a 5-star treatment with a wealth of knowledge about the cars and even threw us the keys and we went for a spin with Chuck in the Outback just to make sure we even liked the car. A week later, my husband and I decided that the Outback was the car for us. One of the best parts of our sales experience was that Chuck and Darren left us plenty of space and didn’t bombard us daily with endless and desperate sales calls and e-mails after our initial visit at Subaru of Plano, as that seems to be the case with most other dealers we’ve experienced. Chuck and Darren truly care and want the best for their clients and they believe in the outstanding craftsmanship, quality, and customer service of Subaru and the dealership. Amanda made the finance part painless, entertaining, and easy as well. She did not pressure us into buying any extra options we did not need or want, but we were thoroughly informed of all options available. We enjoy our Subaru Outback a great deal and want to thank Chuck, Darren, and Amanda for the best car buying experience we have ever had...No pressure, no hassle, and most of all no rubbish BS (excuse my “French,” but there’s no better way to describe it). Thanks guys! We will definitely recommend Subaru of Plano to our friends and family. This is our first Subaru and I’m sure it won’t be our last. More

My wife and I needed to retire my 13 year old Subaru Forester as it had come to the end of its useful life. We needed to buy a new car already knew we wanted another Subaru Forester. I had researched the car before and knew most of the price and option package variables (MSRP, Invoice & best reported local pricing) prior to coming to Subaru Of Plano. When we got there, we met with Jack Williams We were interested in buying only the base model with no frills so we weren’t expecting a super price. To our surprise, Jack showed us all the numbers and our options up front which matched my research and was able to come up with a great price immediately before we even started to negotiate. After a little back and forth over vehicles available, Jack was able to find a vehicle for us which had a few more accessories on it which he included at no charge. He then went further and showed me that he had an affordable leather seat option over the standard cloth seats. This was a key feature we really didn’t want to give up in getting the base model Forester. Jack was very patient without putting any pressure on us and was able to lower the base price to help accommodate the leather option we wanted. In the end, it didn’t add very much to the price which according to our research was already at the really low end of the market. After sleeping on the offer we were ready to buy, and everything regarding the purchase went smoothly, painlessly and quickly. At that point, Jack brought in Bob Stoker to explain the details of the car while the office prepared the paperwork. Bob was knowledgeable and thorough in his explanations. Even in the Finance office, Amanda didn’t over pressure us to buy the obligatory add ons which we didn’t need. They seemed to be OK with just selling us the car at a great price. We will recommend Jack Williams and Subaru Of Plano to our friends. The service, professionalism, care for us and price were great. This by far was the smoothest and least stressful sales experience we have ever had in decades (won’t tell you all how many) of buying new cars. Everything went as planned and are very happy with Subaru Of Plano. More
