I am not tagging any employees as I really don't want to impact an individual's livelihood. I do, however, want active car buyers in the market to be aware of my experience and avoid the same pitfall I did impact an individual's livelihood. I do, however, want active car buyers in the market to be aware of my experience and avoid the same pitfall I did with this dealership. I'll note, this is only worth reading if you are an online shopper that is communicating with dealers prior to visiting a dealership. Short version: make sure to get a line item quote sheet for any agreement you believe you have reached prior to visiting. I live in Fort Worth and used truecar to start discussing what model and price I was after with local dealerships. I had email communications with a sales person here that spanned over a week. As they had the best price (not by a wide margin, but still a price nobody else was able to match) I made arrangements to meet on Saturday. I'll also note, a decent amount of the communication I was being advised how others I was dealing with would likely raise there price, etc once I arrived. Here I was told there would be no surprises, etc. Our last communication was Friday night. Saturday I arrive at the dealership as agreed and I request the sales person I had been working with. I was told they were off and would be back Monday. I was then asked 'How can I help you?'. Not wanting to start from the beginning, I asked if somebody could reach out to her. After hearing the receptionist leave a vmail, I was then advised that she had let another sales person know I would be coming in and I was pointed to their office. I sit down and was asked 'What are you looking for?'. Given we had agreed on the Out the Door price, the model, trim, etc - I expressed my frustration and asked if they could review our communications for what we had agreed to. This was accomplished and the sales person said they would take it to the sales manager. Upon return, he apologized and said that she had made a mistake in the communication...that model/trim could not be sold for that price. In effect, about $4k more than we had discussed. This sales person was basically inheriting the problem as far as I could see and was friendly enough. So, I leave. Not 5 minutes later, I get a text from the sales person that was a no show indicating she was sorry we couldn't make a deal and good luck. I then drove 20 minutes north to Brandon Tomes and purchased the model/trim for $1k over what had been agreed to with Ewing. Great experience at Tomes - I'll write my review for them next. On Monday, I got an email from Ewing, following up on my visit. I lodged my complaint and was advised by the manager: 1. This was all a matter of the sales person selecting the incorrect attachment (there were 2 incorrect)- an innocent mistake. Granted, I had alluded to feeling like some form of bait and switch happened. 2. The no show was simply a matter of 'something came up'. I agree things come up - but, sure found it strange that she couldn't find time to give me a heads up all morning....but, 5 minutes after I leave she's following up? Now, I do believe this whole situation would have been avoided if I had pressed the point of giving me a completed quote sheet. Lesson learned. More

Recently bought Subaru with my stepdaughter and her husband. Overall the experience was great was very surprised about no hidden fees. Wish I would’ve got a Subaru instead of my Honda. We dealt with An husband. Overall the experience was great was very surprised about no hidden fees. Wish I would’ve got a Subaru instead of my Honda. We dealt with Angel Calix and Jared Ostrove, I felt like they were both straight shooters and not your typical car salesman. More
