The history of Ewing Buick GMC began in 1940 when Fin Ewing's grandfather, Bruton Orand, moved from Waco to Dallas to take over the management of Morris Buick. Soon after, Mr. Orand started Orand Buick at 2128 Cedar Springs near downtown Dallas, the present location of The Crescent. Mr. Orand probably didn't know at the time that he was founding a family-owned business that would span over 70 years.
His first challenge was to weather World War II. This was a time when tires were not available and gas was rationed. In fact, one might say it was the worst possible time to go into the car business! He persevered, however, using the basic principles of serving the customer and maintaining a high level of integrity, and as a result, his business prospered.
When Bruton Orand died in 1961, his son-in-law, Finley Ewing, Jr., who had gone to work for Mr. Orand in 1957, took over the business. Under Mr. Ewing's leadership, plans for future growth took shape. In 1972, Mercedes-Benz of Plano was formed and became the owner of the newly-awarded Mercedes-Benz franchise, setting up shop at new facilities off the Dallas Parkway. In 1973, the Orand Buick name was changed to Ewing Buick before it relocated to its new facilities off the Dallas Parkway just north of Mercedes-Benz of Plano.

After buying a truck a couple years ago at this dealership, I decided to go back for a second car. I was looking to trade one of my vehicles, but after visiting with two different vehicles, it is e dealership, I decided to go back for a second car. I was looking to trade one of my vehicles, but after visiting with two different vehicles, it is evident the sales management is not interested in paying fair market trade in value. The pricing of their new vehicles is good compared to market, but I was able to get significantly more for my trade elsewhere. I would recommend to anyone with a trade to go somewhere else as this dealership undercuts fair market value by almost half. Then I received the standard garbage about values not being accurate. Of course it's somehow accurate on their inventory, just not mine. It's not a fair practice and I would steer anyone clear of this dealership! More

I came in a few weeks ago looking for a new 2013. GMC Acadia. I called in ahead of time and by the time I arrived there were 2 vehicles outside ready for me and my family to look at and right away we wer Acadia. I called in ahead of time and by the time I arrived there were 2 vehicles outside ready for me and my family to look at and right away we were greeted by Kevin. The whole process to buy the car was made very easy with Kevin, from the moment we went on a test drive until we left the dealership he treated me and my family with total respect and excellent service. He made sure we understood the features of the vehicle and he even offered for me to come back for a follow-up to get an in-depth review of all the features of the car. Overall I would highly recommend him as an excellent car salesman, he was very friendly and professional! Thank you Kevin for making the car buying process so simple! More

After speaking with Suzanne Koerwer about the type of car that I needed she recommended a GMC Terrain and then stayed late at the dealership so that my wife and I could see and drive the car. This is my second vehicle purchased at Ewing Buick GMC. His attention to detail and professionalism is highly commendable and I am bringing my father-in-law in to get a LaCrosse as well today. Kevin also made me aware of all the support and services that I would have access to after the purchase. I did not feel I was sold a car and left alone. I was impressed how he went over the features and technology of the car that would have taken me a few weeks to figure out on my own or would have just left unused. I was surprised to find out that I could get a lot more car than I thought for a lot less than I expected. Mike is the superstar but he had a great supporting cast; Larry, Michael, Barry and Steve worked together like a championship football team. I am now one of their biggest fans. Thank you! More
