Stay away from the service department. I brought in my 2015 Yukon to have service for an electrical problem, where the dash would go completely blank and reset while driving. I was met by Michael in service, I explained the problem the vehicle was having and tried to show him a video of what was going on, but Michael didn't seem interested, just blew it off. After having the vehicle for 3 weeks, and giving me multiple excuses why its taking so long, the mechanic came back with a trailer control module and possible chassis modular. I have a decent knowledge of engines, after questioning the control modular, Michael informed the mechanic had 20 + years of service. Michael stated that they would replace the control modular then see if the chassis control needed replaced, I ask if they would just replace both. I can understand the chassis modular but not the trailer control. Needless to say they only replaced the trailer control for $750. I was able to drive around 40 miles before the problem happened again, contacted Michael to inform and he started taking notes for another appointment like he never heard of the problem before, I realize service guys aren't mechanics, but this guys has no idea about engines. I left a message with Michael asking to contact me before I bring the vehicle back in and never received a callback. Unless your vehicle brakes down on Ewald Chevys lot, I would never advise to bring your vehicle here. I regret not looking at all the bad reviews for service Ewald had before bring my vehicle in. I'm sure they will respond with the generic excuse and apologize, but nothing will ever be done about it More
Salesman (andy) told me he was pretty new at the job , but he did great ,, respectful , hospitable, answered all questions. Mike in finance was also great , didn't waste any time , got right to the poin but he did great ,, respectful , hospitable, answered all questions. I just want to shout out to all the Great people at Ewald Chevrolet. A special recognition to Mike B. in finance! This guy went way above and beyond to assist me, even though I live in another state and was Chevrolet. A special recognition to Mike B. in finance! He followed up with me all of the time until he was able to work some magic and get me my refund. I would consider buying again from them, even though I am many miles away, just because of their customer service! Thanks again Mike! More
Wrote a review on August 9th and put Jason's name on it. We talked and it was not Jason's fault, another service person was not working well with me. I did talk to Jason, we ended up missing a moto center h We talked and it was not Jason's fault, another service person was not working well with me. I did talk to Jason, we ended up missing a moto center hub after the work was done and Jason was very easy to work with, he told me to order one and they will pay for it. In the past I have had good service and bought my last 3 vehicles from them. I would try them again after talking to Jason. Mike More
went for a oil change with coupon, they charged an extra 15 dollars besides the coupon, have had it changed at holz in watertown many times and they never charge extra. Would not adjust the bill. I recently had my oil serviced & tires rotated. When I picked my vehicle up, the air filter and cabin filter were noted as needing immediate attention. When I opened the hood and looked at the ai When I picked my vehicle up, the air filter and cabin filter were noted as needing immediate attention. When I opened the hood and looked at the air filter chamber there was a missing screw in the corner that was more difficult to get at and an obvious gap by the filter. The filter was not very dirty as it had been replaced in the past year. I was not happy! When I removed the glove box to access the cabin filter, the cover had not been put back on the cabin filter chamber and was laying loose while the cabin filter was not even put back in all the way. I was then really not happy!! I will be looking for another dealer. Bob More

Editing my previous review: We have worked with Kurt twice, unfortunately our last purchase was less than stellar. We purchased our 4Runner and noticed a loud clunking sound coming from the front su twice, unfortunately our last purchase was less than stellar. We purchased our 4Runner and noticed a loud clunking sound coming from the front suspension. We were assured by the manager that “it passed inspection” so it wasn’t a safety issue. I then took it to my mechanic shortly after bringing it home to get the clunking noise fixed and he discovered that our front right wheel was about to come off. The lower ball joint was completely disintegrated and it was obviously unsafe to drive. I informed Kurt of this issue and he told me to send him a copy of the bill. $500 in repairs later it was back on the road. I sent Kurt a copy of the bill, but nothing was done. I followed up with Kurt several times to give Ewald a chance to make it right. I was then told that because I didn’t drive the vehicle to them before getting the repairs done, they weren’t going to reimburse us. Ewald expected us to drive 45 minutes back to them so THEIR mechanic who missed this obvious safety issue during the inspection could fix it… whoever did the inspection on this vehicle clearly didn’t inspect it very thoroughly. That isn’t someone I want working on my vehicle. Per the WI DOT website, safety issues must be disclosed on the window sticker, even for vehicles sold “as is.” I have reported this falsified and/or negligent window sticker to the DOT, but I doubt they will do anything about it. Ewald doesn’t stand behind their vehicles, and buyer beware — you should take any vehicles you want to purchase from here to a third party if you want a reliable inspection. More
