Thank you for giving us feedback in regard to the service contract you purchased with your vehicle. These contracts are administered by MBUSA and any decisions regarding the extension of such a contract have to come from them; the dealer only performs the service within the MBUSA-given guidelines. Pre-paid maintenance contracts can be purchased for a certain number of yearly 10k services and have an expiration date. It looks like our service management team did goodwill some of the cost of your maintenance service according to your comments, While we can understand your frustration of not having used your services, we are also bound by contract terms from our manufacturer. We will forward your review to them to make them aware of your disappointment.

Thank you for your response. It is indeed unfortunate that as a customer, I should get caught up in a vicious circle of Mercedes finger-pointing and responsibility denial. I spoke to three different people at "Corporate", using the number I was given at the dealership. Each person vehemently denied that such an extension was within their purview, insisting that only the dealership could do this. The last person even called up the dealership (James)to discuss this. I was on the phone with that person from Corporate for an hour. I should not have had to go through that, to no avail. In a nutshell, there is something fundamentally wrong here regarding the inaccurate information given by one (or both) of the parties. The goodwill gesture, by the way, was $200 off a $987 bill. Appreciated, but inadequate. Another issue I have is regarding my tires, which completely wore out on a brand new Mercedes after only 25,300 miles. I have since spoken to a couple of experts who suspect that the car may not have had new tires on when I purchased it. This would raise even more serious questions.

Update: after this occurrence, Zack called me the next day. They picked up my car from the house, left a loaner at my doorstep and after servicing my car returned the car back to me. Appreciate the follow up and help!
